1. “Victory” – A Youthful Korean Film with a Fresh Twist

Lee Hyeri’s new Korean film “Victory” is the first movie about cheerleaders in South Korea. On the other hand, “Cheer Up” in 2022 marks the first Kdrama series centered around cheerleading.

“Victory” is a 1999 youth movie set in a small town called Geoje. The movie depicts the journey of a cheerleading team called Millennium Girls from Geoje Commercial High School.

The movie will revisit the Y2K nostalgia, showcasing the late 90s and early 2000s fashion and pop culture trends, including oversized clothes, sweatshirts, high-waisted jeans, baggy jeans, butterfly clips, and music.

3. “Victory” – Youthful Cast & Captivating Characters

Main leads:

  • Lee Hyeri plays Pil Seon, a determined high school student who dreams big of becoming a professional dancer and is excited to delve into the world of cheerleading.
  • Park Se Wan plays Mi Na, Pil Seon’s best friend, who is into style and has a strong sense of responsibility.
  • Jo Aram plays Se Hyun, a transfer student from Seoul. She is also a former cheerleader who enters into a tense rivalry with Pil Seon.
  • Lee Jung Ha plays Chi Hyeong, the Goalkeeper of Geoje Commercial High School’s soccer team. He is secretly admiring Pil Seon. He is a determined goalkeeper who wants to secure the goal and Pil Seon’s heart.

More talents in the supporting cast lineup: 

  • Choi Ji Soo, Baek So Hyun, Kwon Yoo Na, Lee Han Ju, Yeom Ji Young, Park Hyo Eun, and Lee Chan Hyung.

Hyeyeon (Jo Aram), a former member of GUGUDAN, is making her debut on the silver screen in the Korean film “Victory.” Her acting journey began with “The Killer’s Shopping List,” she also featured in the hit Kdrama “Doctor Cha.” Recently, Jo Aram landed a leading role in the ongoing Kdrama “The Auditors” alongside Lee Jung Ha.

Rookie actor Lee Jung Ha, recognized for his role in the Korean drama “Moving,” is stepping into the world of cinema with his debut in the Korean movie “Victory.” In this exciting new project, the rising star portrays Chi Hyeong, the dedicated goalkeeper of Geoje Commercial High School’s soccer team.

Singer and actress Lee Hyeri will return to the big screen with the new movie “Victory.”  It marks her third movie following “Monstrum”  (2018) and “My Punch-Drunk Boxer”  (2019), as well as a comeback after the drama “May I Help You” (2022). Another highly anticipated movie starring Lee Hyeri is “Tropical Night.”
