Fans who admire the Kpop group BTS identify themselves as ARMYs (A.R.M.Y.). It’s a large family of idol fans. A.R.M.Y has a website that features group news and updates, detailed information about each idol individually, and even an ethics page that instructs users on appropriately interacting with other members of the fandom. But where did the name A.R.M.Y. itself come from?

First, we should refer to the name of the group. Back in 2012, BTS released their logo, a bulletproof vest. 

The group of seven young people, also known as the Bangtan Boys, rose to fame in South Korea and, having conquered the charts there, went international.
