“Mr. Queen” may have just ended, but it feels like it’s been forever since we last saw Shin Hye Sun’s stunning acting skills! However, we no longer need to worry because Shin Hye Sun has confirmed her next project in a new webtoon movie with U-KISS Lee Jun Young.
On November 12, various media reported that Studio N had confirmed Shin Hye Sun and U-KISS Lee Jun Young as their lead roles in the new webtoon-adapted movie, “Brave Citizen”. Since they have set the lead cast, this project will start filming soon in December 2021.

1. Adapted from a Slice of Life Martial Arts Webtoon by Author Kim Jung Hyun
Firstly, Shin Hye Sun new movie with Lee Jun Young is an adaptation of a Naver’s webtoon with the same title. This webtoon is a masterpiece from Kim Jung Hyun, and it follows a story of the everyday life of a new female teacher who was once a school hapkido champion.
2. Inspiring Story of a Former Hapkido Champion
Secondly, the movie will recreate the webtoon story of Seo Shi Min, who was once a school champion of the hapkido martial arts. However, after encountering the harsh reality, Seo Shi Min’s life turned around, and so she became a part-time teacher instead.
Now, she has only one dream: to become a full-time teacher. That is why she has to work hard and follow all the requirements to fulfill her dream. And it also means she has to stay away from trouble. That is why she tries to force herself to do NOTHING every time she sees trouble.
However, getting out of trouble is NOT that simple. That’s because, at the end of the day, she gets involved in a huge confrontation with a troublemaker, Han Soo Kang. This confrontation leads to both of them becoming nemeses.
3. Shin Hye Sun will Play the Part-Time Teacher, Seo Shi Min
“Brave Citizen” production team has confirmed the lead roles, and Shin Hye Sun will play Seo Shi Min’s main character. Her name is actually a derivation from “shi-min” (시민), which also means “citizen” in Korea.
4. U-KISS Lee Jun Young as the Nemesis, Villain Student You’ve Never Seen Before
On the other hand, U-KISS Lee Jun Young will play Seo Shi Min’s nemesis, Han Soo Kang. Lee Jun Young will have to go all out in his acting skills by playing Han Soo Kang. That’s because Han Soo Kang is expected to be a villain character that we’ve all never seen before.
5. Handled by The Professionals
Due to the high expectation of this movie, several movie professionals will personally handle “Brave Citizen” from pre-production to filming. Aside from the fact that director Park Jin Pyo of “Love Forecast” and “Voice of a Murderer” will lead the project, this movie will have two screenwriters: Yeo Ji Na and (possibly) Hyun Chung Yeol.
