Actors Yoo Hae Jin and Park Hae Il are considering leading the new Korean movie “Assassins.” This movie might bring them together again after sixteen years since the movie “Moss.” The upcoming film “Assassins” explores the mystery surrounding the 1974 shooting of the first lady, Yuk Young Soo.
Famous director Hur Jin Ho will make this movie. He is known for popular works like “Lost” and “The Last Princess.”Additionally, Hive Media Corp will handle the production of the movie.
Yoo Hae-jin may have received an offer to play a detective responsible for investigating the case. Park Hae Ill may play the role of a journalist who is covering the case.
Shin Hye Sun, Gong Myung for “Secret Audit”
“Mr. Queen” star Shin Hye Sun and “Mercy for None“ actor Gong Myung are in talks to headline a new romance Korean drama titled “Secret Audit.” This office rom-com dives into scandalous workplace relationship investigations, earning a 29+ rating for its mature themes. The series sparks romance between a former audit department ace and the head audit director who leads these probes.
Shin Hye Sun may portray Cho In Ah as a tenacious and idiosyncratic head of the audit team, hiding a secret. Gong Myung is considering the role of Noh Ki Joon, a former audit ace demoted after handling internal misconduct.
Director Kang Min Gu of “Itaewon Class” is set to helm the project.

“The Glory” actress Cha Joo Young and “Pump Up the Healthy Love“ actor Lee Jun Young may reunite in the upcoming romance comedy Korean drama “Who Are You.”
“Who Are You” tells the story of a black agent who experiences amnesia and a top actress who has lost her love.
Cha Joo Young is reviewing the role of Yoo Ah Ri, a famous actress and the daughter of the leading presidential candidate from the main opposition party. Due to her popularity, she is often referred to as the nation’s sweetheart. Lee Jun Young may portray Lee Tae Joo, a black agent who lost his memory.
The upcoming drama “Who Are You” may mark Cha Joo Young’s debut in the romantic comedy genre and the reunion of both actors after their brief meeting on the last episode of the historical drama “The Queen Who Crowns,” which aired early this year.
Director Myung Hyun Woo of “Check in Hanyang” will direct this series.
Jeon Jong Seo for Thriller “Crush”
“Money Heist: Korea” actress Jeon Jong Seo is considering another exciting action series. Titled “Crush,” the story follows a girl named Kang Min Ji, a hacker working in the military who becomes a cybersecurity expert. Using her skills, she embarks on a dangerous personal mission: track down those who are involved in her father’s murder and uncover a major conspiracy behind his tragic death.
Jeon Jong Seo has received an offer to play Kang Min Ji, a skilled hacker, who meticulously plans a revenge. She joins the military to target those responsible for her father’s unjust death. If the actress accepts the offer, this will be her first drama series project since “Queen Woo” in 2024.
Writers Min Baek Doo and Um Jin Ah, and director Jeon Gye Soo are collaborating on this project. Production companies Filmmaker Friend and UL Entertainment will co-produce the film.
Chae Jong Hyeop, Lee Sung Kyung for “In Your Brilliant Season”
“Serendipity’s Embrace” actor Chae Jong Hyeop and “Dr. Romantic” actress Lee Sung Kyun have received offers to headline the drama “In Your brilliant Season.” This project was first offered to Han Hyo Joo in 2023, but she declined.
“In Your brilliant Season” is a romance story about a man whose world changes forever after an accident steals his memories and hearing. His journey to recovery begins when he meets a woman destined to become his lifeline.
The drama will unite director Park Seon Ho (“Business Proposal” and “Brewing Love”) and writer Jo Sung Hee (“Thirty but Seventeen” and “She was Pretty.”)
Red Velvet’s Yeri in Talks for “Insiders”
Yeri of Red Velvet, who just signed with Blitz Entertainment as an actor, is in talks to join in the upcoming series “Insiders.” This live-action adaptation is based on a popular webtoon and is a remake of the 2015 film “Inside Men.” The film still holds the record as South Korea’s highest-grossing R-rated film of all time. However, details of Yeri’s role have not been disclosed.
Other actors who may appear in this series include Koo Kyo Hwan, Lee Mo Saeng, Kim Ji Yeon (WJSN’s Bona), Soo Ae, and Shin Seung Ho. Additionally, veteran actors Song Kang Ho and Lee Sung Min have confirmed that they will star in this project.
Go Kyung Pyo Joins Park Shin Hye for “Miss Undercover Boss”
Actor Go Kyung Pyo might play the male lead in the new comedy Korean drama series “Miss Undercover Boss.” This project could also reunite him with his co-star in “Flower Boy Next Door,” Park Shin Hye.
It is an office comedy set before the 1997 IMF crisis. It follows Hong Geum Bo, a 35-year-old securities expert who goes undercover as a high school graduate staff at a Yeouiodo securities company.
For the female lead, Park Shin Hye may play Hong Geum Bo, a woman who enjoys working alone. Go Kyung Pyo might play the role of Shin Jung Woo, the newly appointed CEO of Hanmin Securities in Yeouido.
Writer Moon Hyun Kyung, who penned “Into the Ring,” will team up with director Park Seon Ho, known for hit work “Business Proposal,” in creating this series.
Park Hae Soo, Lee Hee Joon, Kwak Sun Young for “Scarecrow”
Park Hae Soo, Lee Hee Joon, Kwak Sun Young are in discussions to headline ENA’s new crime thriller series based on a real serial murder case by Lee Choon Jae that happened between 1986-1991 in Hwaseong, Gyeonggi Province. Director Bong Joon Ho of “Parasite” made it into a film called “Memories of Murder,” in 2003. Seasoned director Park Joon Woo of the hit series “Taxi Driver” and “Crash,” will direct the series.
Lee Jae In in Talks, Cho Jun Young Confirmed for “Spring Fever”
“Hi-5” actress Lee Jae In is in talks about a new rom-com based on the novel of the same name, “Spring Fever,” starring Ahn Bo Hyun, Lee Joo Bin, and Cha Seo Won. The story follows Yun Bom, a woman who experiences a bad heartbreak and moves to a new place to start a new life and work as an exchange teacher. Her emotional hurt made her a cold person. However, when she encounters Sun Jae Gyu, she slowly begins to open her heart.
Lee Jae In received an offer to portray a transfer student, Choi Se Jin. She relocated to the countryside due to family pressure to excel in her studies and entered Seoul National University. But her path to the top is not as easy as she thinks; she meets a new rival at school.
Besides Lee Jae In, “Crushology 101” Cho Jun Young has officially confirmed to join Ahn Bo Hyun and Lee Joo Bin in the upcoming romance drama “Spring Fever.” He will play the character of a top student, Shin Sun Yeol, who is also the nephew of Ahn Bo Hyun in the story. Additionally, he will play an essential part as someone who will connect the main characters played by Ahn Bo Hyun and Lee Joo Bin.
The drama will have 12 episodes and is scheduled to air in the second half of 2025 on tvN.
Lee Hyeri for “Chair Time”
Girls Day’s Hyeri might be taking the lead role in the new drama “Chair Time.” This romance comedy Korean drama could be her significant return to the genre; her last one was “Moonshine” back in 2021. The story follows the drama couple, Lee In Young and Jo Chi Soo, as they navigate love, healing, and personal growth.
Hyeri may play the female lead, Lee In Young, who works as a top manager. Meanwhile, there is no information yet regarding who will take on the male lead role, Jo Chi Soo, who works as a dentist.
Director Lee Gwang Young will direct this drama. His popular K-drama series include “The Secret Life of My Secretary” (2019), “Call It Love” (2023), and “The Scandal of Chun Hwa” (2025).
Kang Tae Joo for “Nyuneo”
Actor Kang Tae Joo, known for his role in “Pachinko 2,” will star “Nyuneo.” Nam Ji Hyun and Kim Jae Young will be paired in this drama series.
“Nyuneo” is a romantic comedy Korean drama that follows the story of Yeon Su, a woman raised in a conservative family. She works at a marketing company and has lived her life keeping her chastity. But when she meets a man who is the CEO of an adult products company, their worlds collide. They challenge each other’s beliefs and grow together in unexpected ways. Kang Tae Joo will portray the vice president of the adult product company, also Kim Jae Young’s colleague.
This drama is set to premiere in 2026, comprising a total of 12 episodes.
Lee Kwang Soo for Goldland”
Actor Lee Kwang Soo to reunite with Park Bo Young after the 2015 film “Collective Invention,” and meet Kim Sung Cheol in the new thriller mystery “Goldland.” Set at the first casino in Korea, located in an abandoned mine, the story follows Kim Hui Ju (Park Bo Young), who becomes entangled in a mysterious attempted murder case linked to unidentified gold bars.
Lee Kwang Soo will play Park Ho Cheol. He is a psychopathic elite gangster who cannot show his emotions. At first, he was loyal to his boss, but a gold bar worth 60 billion changed his mind. He betrayed him and teamed up with Woo Gi, who was his subordinate in the gang.
Ahn Hyo Seop, Chae Won Bin, Kim Bum for “Sold Out Again Today!”
Actors Ahn Hyo Seop, Chae Won Bin, and Kim Bum are confirmed to star in the upcoming rom-com Korean drama “Sold Out Again Today!” Ahn Hyo Seop plays the role of Matthew Lee, a farmer with three additional jobs. Cha Won Bin portrays Dam Ye Jin, a top TV host who suffers from bad insomnia. And Kim Bum plays the role of Seo Eric, an executive director at a global French cosmetic company.
This rom-com drama series will premiere in 2026.
