On December 1, CJ ENM Movie released a poster of a new star-studded Korean movie, “Happy New Year”, starring Lee Dong Wook, SNSD YoonA, Han Ji Min, and more.
According to the release, “Happy New Year” will feature over 10 prominent Korean actors and actresses as the cast lineup, and they all will play essential parts in the movie.

Diverse Storyline Revolving Hotel Emrose in “Happy New Year” Korean Movie
Furthermore, the “Happy New Year” Korean movie will tell a story revolving around the staff and guests at Hotel Emrose. It starts with the hotel manager, So Jin (Han Ji Min), who has done an excellent job professionally. However, she is struggling with her crush of 15 years.
Then, we have the hotel CEO Yong Jin (Lee Dong Wook) who’s been obsessed with even numbers. Meanwhile, their staff Soo Yeon (YoonA) is incredibly proud of her, whereas Lee Young (Won Ji Ah) dreams of becoming a musical actress.
At the same time, So Jin’s long-time crush (Kim Young Kwang) came to the hotel as a guest with his fiancée (Go Sung Hee) to prepare for their wedding, building a heartbreaking plot. There’s also Jae Yong (Kang Ha Neul), who has been struggling with his job. On top of that, his girlfriend had left him when he was struggling.
Meanwhile, Lee Kang (Seo Kang Joon) and his manager Sang Hoon (Lee Kwang Soo) face conflicts with their exclusive contracts and careers. And finally, there’s Catherine and Sang Gyu who had started as first loves and finally met again after 40 years.
These complex characters gathered at Hotel Emrose to seek a resolution. Will they eventually find it?
