He talked about how some idols of the new generation do not consider greeting others as basic manners. Although he did not mention any specific name, it sparked speculation and debate.

On May 17, Bang Chan posted a black image on Instagram, along with a Korean-English caption apologizing for the offense caused by his comments during his recent live broadcast. In the post, he stated that he didn’t intend to attack specific artists and sincerely apologized.
What Happened to Bang Chan?
All the debate started when Stray Kids leader, Bang Chan, shared his thoughts on his show Chan’s Room about how some idols have no basic manners of greeting others. Bang Chan’s comment led to speculation about who he was referring to.
“I’m not like cussing people out or anything, but I feel like I’m thinking too much about it because if you see someone walk by, you say annyeonghaseyo, then if they don’t reply back, you’d be like, ‘What the…okay.’ But I feel like it’s come to the point where this generation is allowed to do that, just not care, if that’s right.”

Some fans did some digging and speculated that he was speaking of one of the generation Kpop girl groups. After the speculation propagated among allegedly Stray Kids’ fans, they began talking about IVE ignoring Bang Chan’s greetings at the event.
Amid the backlash against the girl group, some fans defended IVE across various platforms. They clarified that IVE didn’t intentionally ignore greetings from Stray Kids, as they were preoccupied with interacting with fans. Some even attack back to Bang Chan or the fans accusing IVE.

Both Chan and IVE are victims of fans' stupidity.
To be honest it’s not just netczens who are jumping into conclusions it’s also people who claim to be “STAY” if they were a real stay they wouldn’t jump to conclusions and start a whole fandom war. Like Chan didn’t even point out any names but people realy like to assume and start problems with other fandom. Like there wasn’t even a need for Chan to apologize but in the end it all just ends up causing both idols to get hate.
