Wrapping up of “PTD on Stage” LA Concert with tremendous success, along with BTS Jin birthday celebration at the 2021 “Jingle Ball”, the millennial King of Pop is finally home! Still, after witnessing that only BTS Jin, Jimin, and Jungkook arrived in South Korea, fans wondered why they returned separately, especially when their FIRST holiday vacation to prepare for a new album is coming. Now, let’s find out the REAL possible reason.
BTS Jin, Jimin, and Jungkook Spotted Arriving at the Incheon Airport
Once they finished their 4-day concerts and “Jingle Ball” tour in Los Angeles, BTS next schedule was to return home to South Korea. However, upon arriving at the airport, BTS surprised the media and fans by showing up with only three of its members: Jin, Jimin, and Jungkook.
On December 6, various media reported that BTS Jin, Jimin, and Jungkook have safely returned to South Korea, separately from the other BTS members. Wearing black hats and masks, the three departed from Los Angeles on December 4 KST, and landed safely on December 6 at the Incheon Airport.
So, why did BTS decide to return separately to South Korea? Is it essential, knowing that BTS will be taking their FIRST holiday vacation after all these years?
Fans Speculated BTS Returned to South Korea Separately Due to “Personal Business” to “Cypher Part. V”
Indeed, it was perplexing to see how only half of BTS members after constantly watching them together all these years. That is why fans wondered and started drawing conclusions about the real reason BTS returned to South Korea separately.
Some fans speculated that BTS RM, Suga, J-Hope, and V stayed longer in the US to prepare for a project for its rap line + V: “Cypher Part. V”. At the same time, some others also speculated it was because they had personal businesses.
No idea what plans anyone has. Joon said his parents were at their last concert, so maybe they’ll spend a little time here before going back. But again, we don’t know what any of them will be doing over their break. 💜— 방탄항상⁷💜🐳 (@Always4Bangtan) December 6, 2021
The REAL Possible Reason Why BTS Returned to South Korea Separately
However, the REAL possible reason BTS returned to South Korea separately was the new COVID regulation. Due to the new “Omicron” variant of Coronavirus, the South Korean government heightened the security level for people traveling from overseas. Moreover, reports mentioned that there was an “omicron” outbreak happening in California recently.

Therefore, it is highly possible that BTS returned to South Korea separately to prevent the excess gathering of people, especially after the “omicron outbreak”.
I think it’s because of the omicron strain of covid breaking out in California and they’re just taking the necessary precautions— amani⁷ (@gloss_nj) December 5, 2021
from what i know, i think its because the rules of quarantine in korea have somehow changed bcs of the new variant?so bts and also all the staff must be split into two batch of flight to prevent too much people coming from outside the border at the same time or smthing like tht— rine 🙂 (@seoltangsyu) December 5, 2021
probably because rn there’s 6pax social gathering limit in seoul bc of covid and omicron concerns— (佳) jia⁷ ⍟ (@ethernaltear) December 5, 2021
Besides, all BTS members arriving in South Korea will have to undergo a PCR test and a 10-day quarantine due to this regulation. Hence, BTS will not be able to attend MAMA 2021.
