TOP 100 Kpop Boy Group Member Brand Reputation Rankings in May 2024

On May 18, the Korean Business Research Institute unveiled the most recent list featuring the top Kpop male group members for May 2024. Accordingly, Cha Eun Woo from ASTRO maintained his position as the top male Kpop idol this month. Explore the individual Kpop boy group member brand reputation rankings for May 2024 to discover the current popular male Kpop idols.

May 2024 Top Individual Kpop Boy Group Member Brand Reputation Rankings

From April 18 to May 18, 2024, the institute extracted 65,478,517 pieces of brand data related to 730 boy group members. Utilizing this collected information, they analyzed consumer behavior by evaluating key factors such as participation, media coverage, communication, and community engagement. Based on this analysis result, they established the brand reputation rankings of the Kpop boy group members. Compared to the 60,474,680 brand data entries related to boy groups in April, there was an increase of 8.27%.

As a result, ASTRO Cha Eun Woo, RIIZE Wonbin, NCT Doyoung, Wanna One Kim Jae Hwan, and BTS Jimin dominated the top five male Kpop idols in May 2024

1. ASTRO Cha Eun Woo

Idol actor Cha Eun Woo continued to lead this month’s male Kpop idol ranking list for the third consecutive month with a brand value of 2,884,446. His brand value saw a 7.70% decrease from 3,125,132 in April, with the following indexes:​

• Participation Index 750,381
• Media Index 654,976
• Communication Index 686,902
• Community Index 792,186

Furthermore, in link analysis, the institute identified Cha Eun Woo’s popular related terms as “sweet,” “reveal,” and “tear up.” In the keyword analysis, the institute found Cha Eun Woo’s popular keywords as “face genius,” “Moonbin,” and “You Quiz on the Block.” Additionally, he received a positive score of 92.77% in the positivity-negativity analysis.

2. RIIZE Wonbin

Rookie male idol Wonbin, the vocalist, dancer, and center of Kpop boy group RIIZE, climbed to second place this month. His brand value significantly rose by 67.09%, from 1,168,992 in April to 1,953,300 in May, with the following indexes:

• Communication Index: 447,369
• Community Index: 452,989

3. NCT Doyoung

Doyoung from NCT, who recently released his first solo album, “Youth,” soared to third place this month with an impressive brand value of 1,921,339. This value surged by 175.88% compared to his brand value of 696,445 in April. Based on the analysis, he gained the following indexes:

• Participation Index: 400,447
• Media Index: 379,573
• Communication Index: 358,050
• Community Index: 783,269

4. Wanna One Kim Jae Hwan

Kim Jae Hwan, who recently released his 7th mini-album, “I ADORE,” secured fourth place this month with a brand value of 1,808,989. The singer’s brand value soared by 121.46% from 816,855 in April, with the following indexes:

• Media Index: 435,259
• Communication Index: 400,227
• Community Index: 484,188

Jimin from BTS, who was included in the Power Celebrity 40 list by Forbes Korea this year, completed the top five male Kpop idols with a brand value of 1,797,755. This value represented a 55.22% increase from the brand value of 1,158,175 in April, achieving the following indexes: ​ ​
