On September 21, the Korean Business Research Institute released the brand reputation rankings for individual idols from Kpop male groups for September, with BTS Jin topping the list this month. September 2024: Top Individual Kpop Boy Group Member Brand Reputation Rankings
The Korean Business Research Institute collected 54,936,729 points of brand big data from 730 male group members between August 21 and September 21, 2024. They used the brand big data points for consumer behavior analysis to obtain the brand reputation index by measuring the participation, communication, media, and community indexes. Compared to the 63,464,831 points of boy group brand big data in August, it saw a 13.44% decrease.
According to the analysis results, BTS Jin, ASTRO Cha Eun Woo, Wanna One Kang Daniel, BTS Jimin, and SHINee Minho dominated the brand reputation rankings for the top 100 individual Kpop male group members in September 2024.

TOP 5
1. BTS Jin
Kim Seokjin, the eldest member of BTS, who graced our screens with his performances in various variety shows, topped the rankings of individual Kpop male group members in September 2024. Despite leading the rankings, the singer’s brand reputation index saw a 7.80% decrease, dropping from 3,199,306 in August to 2,949,770 in September, with the following indexes:
- Participation Index: 362,858
- Media Index: 543,243
- Communication Index: 982,596
- Community Index: 1,061,073
Further, in Jin’s link analysis, the Institute found ‘strong,’ ‘warm,’ and ‘handsome’ as highly ranked terms associated with the singer. Meanwhile, in keyword analysis, the Institute identified ‘Run Jin,’ ‘Super Tuna,’ and ‘Entertainment Genius’ as the most popular keywords related to Jin. The “Epiphany” singer also achieved an impressive positive score of 93.03% in the positivity/negativity ratio analysis.
2. ASTRO Cha Eun Woo
Cha Eun Woo from ASTRO, who caused a stir on the internet with his stunning visuals while wearing Chaumet’s tiara, secured the second position. The idol actor’s brand reputation index experienced a 28.32% decrease, falling from 3,668,606 in August to 2,629,693 in September, with the following indexes:
- Participation Index: 617,969
- Media Index: 669,559
- Communication Index: 647,646
- Community Index: 694,519
3. Wanna One Kang Daniel
Kang Daniel, who is set to make a comeback with a new mini album, “ACT,” under the new agency ARA, rose to the third position. However, despite taking third place on the list, the singer’s brand reputation index experienced an 18.69% decrease. His brand reputation index declined from 1,961,008 in August to 1,594,520, with the following breakdown:
- Participation index: 283,571
- Media index: 553,838
- Communication index: 364,347
- Community index: 392,764
4. BTS Jimin
Jimin from BTS maintained his position in fourth place on the list. The singer achieved an incredible feat with his song, “Who,” spending eight consecutive weeks in the Billboard Global Excl. U.S. top 10 at #8. However, his brand reputation index saw a significant decrease of 42.25%, falling from 2,536,752 in August to 1,465,040, with the following breakdown:
- Participation index: 388,627
- Media index: 370,934
- Communication index: 331,679
- Community index: 373,800
5. SHINee Minho
Minho from SHINee, who captivated viewers with his performance in the drama “Romance in the House,” soared to fifth place. His brand reputation index skyrocketed by 93.93%, rising from 744,902 in August to 1,444,621 in September, with the following indexes:

- Media Index: 329,423
- Communication Index: 339,934
- Community Index: 439,088
