January 2024 Kpop Girl Group Member Brand Reputation Rankings
The Korean Business Research Institute analyzed brand reputation indexes for 655 individual members of girl groups in January 2024. To gather data, they extracted 86,587,833 data points between December 21, 2023, and January 21, 2024. Compared to the previous month’s data, the data points showed a 15.48% decrease from 102,449,313.
The analysis focused on consumer behavior towards the personal brands of these girl group members, using participation, media, communication, and community indexes.
The top 5 female idols with the highest brand reputation rankings in January 2024 were BLACKPINK’s Jennie, Girls’ Generation’s Taeyeon, NewJeans’ Hanni, aespa’s Karina, and BLACKPINK’s Jisoo.
Top 5 Individual Kpop Girl Group Members
1. BLACKPINK Jennie
In January 2024, Jennie from BLACKPINK, who is a regular member of the show “Apartment 404,” achieved the top rank in brand reputation among individual Kpop girl group members. The analysis showcased her outstanding performance across various indices:
- Brand participation Index: 291,697
- Media Index: 128,234
- Communication Index: 1,272,874
- Community Index: 1,699,306
Accordingly, Jennie’s brand reputation index in January reached 3,392,111, marking an impressive 12.85% increase from 3,005,946 in December 2023.
Moreover, the link analysis showcased Jennie’s strong presence in terms of “congratulations,” “appearance,” and “publicity.” Looking at her keyword analysis, notable associations included “ODD ATELIER,” “Lee Hyori’s Red Carpet,” and “One of the Girls.” Additionally, the sentiment analysis revealed an overwhelmingly positive ratio of 91.05%.
2. Girls’ Generation Taeyeon
In the latest rankings, Girls’ Generation’s Taeyeon, who achieved her fourth win and a triple crown for her song “To. X” on “Music Core,” moved up to the second position this month. Her brand analysis revealed:
- Participation Index: 609,921
- Media Index: 666,833
- Communication Index: 1,085,453
- Community Index: 772,837
Despite her rise in the ranking, Taeyeon’s brand reputation index decreased by 20.66% from 3,951,474 in December 2023 to 3,135,044 in January 2024.
3. NewJeans Hanni
NewJeans Hanni, the Gucci Global Ambassador, dropped to the third position this month. According to the analysis, her brand analysis revealed:

- Media Index: 676,704
- Communication Index: 505,071
- Community Index: 738,717
Accordingly, Hanni’s brand reputation index decreased 38.04% from 4,098,518 in December 2023 to 2,539,275 in January 2024.
4. aespa Karina
aespa’s Karina, born in the Year of the Dragon, rose to the fourth position this month. Her brand analysis revealed:
- Participation Index: 242,613
- Media Index: 235,592
- Communication Index: 380,419
- Community Index: 1,638,074
The analysis revealed that Karina achieved a brand reputation index of 2,496,698 in January 2024. It increased significantly by 25.40% from the previous month’s score of 1,990,919.
5. BLACKPINK Jisoo
BLACKPINK’s Jisoo, who is set to make her big-screen debut as the main character in “Omniscient Reader,” dropped to fifth place this month. Her brand analysis results showed:

- Media Index: 233,626

In January 2024, Jisoo achieved a brand reputation index of 2,430,595. It experienced a 24.97% decrease from 3,239,536 in December 2023.
