May 2024 Top Individual Kpop Girl Group Member Brand Reputation Rankings
From April 19 to May 19, 2024, the Korean Business Research Institute extracted a total of 121,616,805 pieces of brand big data from 675 girl group members. The purpose of collecting this data was to measure the brand value of individual Kpop girl group members in May 2024. Utilizing this data, the institute analyzed consumer behavior by evaluating key factors such as participation, media, communication, and community indexes. Compared to the 98,446,988 girl group personal brand big data collected in April, there was a notable increase of 23.54%.
As a result, IVE Jang Won Young, IVE Ah Yu Jin, ILLIT Wonhee, ILLIT Minju, and BLACKPINK Jennie secured the top five rankings of the most popular female Kpop idols in May 2024. You can find the brand reputation rankings of the top 30 female Kpop idols in March, April, and May below.

1. IVE Jang Won Young
Jang Won Young from IVE, who recently appeared on “Psick Show,” topped the individual brand reputation rankings for female group members this month. She achieved a brand value of 8,145,942 in May, marking a remarkable increase of 466.51% compared to the brand reputation index of 1,437,909 in April. Based on the analysis, she gained the following indexes:
- Participation Index: 2,299,454
- Media Index: 2,093,004
- Communication Index: 1,669,829
- Community Index: 2,083,654
Moreover, according to the link analysis, the institute identified the words “positive,” “refreshing,” and “Wonyoung-esque accident” as popular terms related to the idol. In the keywords analysis, they found Wonyoung’s popular keywords were “IVE, Lucky Vicky, and Wonyoung’s Thinking.” Additionally, the sentiment ratio analysis revealed a positive ratio of 91.72%.
2. IVE An Yu Jin
An Yu Jin from IVE, who recently won the PRIZM Popularity Award at the 60th Baeksang Arts Awards, soared to the second place. Her brand value increased by 239.38%, rising from 1,517,611 in April to 5,150,510 in May. This growth is reflected in the following indexes:
- Participation Index: 1,445,044
- Media Index: 1,327,702
- Communication Index: 589,095
- Community Index: 1,788,669
3. ILLIT Wonhee
Rookie idol Wonhee from ILLIT dropped from first place in April to third place in May. Despite the drop in ranking, her brand value rose by 50.91%, increasing from 2,962,732 in April to 4,471,129 in May. The growth is reflected in the following indexes:

- Communication Index: 394,844
- Community Index: 949,304
4. ILLIT Minju
Minju from ILLIT climbed to the fourth place this month from fifth place last month. Her brand value increased by 77.70%, from 2,249,413 last April to 3,997,287 in May. The indexes that reflect this growth are as follows:

5. BLACKPINK Jennie
Jennie from BLACKPINK managed to stay in the top five female Kpop group members this month. The CEO of Odd Atelier achieved a 38.01% increase in her brand value this month, rising from 2,691,598 in April to 3,714,551 in May. Based on the analysis, she obtained the following indexes:
