On September 14, the Korean Business Research Institute released the latest list of top Kpop boy group brand reputation rankings, showcasing the 50 most popular Kpop male idol groups for September 2024. Explore the list and find your favorite groups!
September 2024: Top 50 Kpop Boy Group Brand Reputation Rankings
The Korean Business Research Institute collected 34,363,154 brand big data of Kpop boy groups from August 14 to September 14, 2024. Compared to the 53,691,527 brand big data in August, it decreased by 36.00%.
Using the latest brand big data, the Institute conducted consumer behavior analysis to measure boy group brands’ participation, media, communication, and community indexes.
According to the results, SEVENTEEN, Stray Kids, SHINee, THE BOYZ, and BTS dominated the top five rankings. See below the top 30 boy groups in July, August, and September 2024.
TOP 5
1. SEVENTEEN
Kpop male group SEVENTEEN, who will make an exciting comeback on October 14, stayed in the top position with a brand reputation index of 3,330,977 in September. Compared to the brand reputation index of 5,988,919 in August, it decreased by 44.38%, with the following indexes:
- Participation Index: 231,256
- Media Index: 839,578
- Communication Index: 1,096,148
- Community Index: 1,163,995
Furthermore, the Institute conducted a more comprehensive analysis, including link analysis, keyword analysis, and positive-negative analysis.
In the link analysis, the Institute identified ‘participating,’ ‘favorable review,’ and ‘enlist’ as the most related terms to the group. Moreover, in the keyword analysis, the Institute found ‘Carat,’ ‘Lollapalooza,’ and ‘Jeonghan’ as the most popular keywords of the group. In addition, in the positive-negative ratio analysis, the group achieved a positive ratio of 91.20%.
2. Stray Kids
Kpop boy group Stray Kids, who recently participated in the “Arcane Season 2” soundtrack, claimed the second position. The group gained a brand reputation index of 1,906,672 in September. Compared to the brand reputation index of 3,136,650 in August, it fell by 39.21%, with the following indexes:
- Participation Index: 149,124
- Media Index: 339,378
- Communication Index: 649,828
- Community Index: 768,341
3 SHINee
Kpop male group SHINee climbed to the third position with a brand reputation index of 1,645,894. Compared to the brand reputation index of 2,627,905 in August, it fell by 37.37%, with the following indexes:
- Participation Index: 59,520
- Media Index: 298,928
- Communication Index: 602,118
- Community Index: 685,328
4. THE BOYZ
Kpop male idol group THE BOYZ, currently on the “ZENERATION II” world tour, soared to the fourth position with a brand reputation index of 1,408,457. Compared to the brand reputation index of 2,032,558 in August, it fell by 30.71%, with the following indexes:
- Participation Index: 84,186
- Media Index: 460,272
- Communication Index: 479,214
- Community Index: 384,785
5. BTS
Kpop male group BTS, recently included in the Billboard’s Greatest Pop Stars of the 21st Century at No. 19, secured the fifth position with a brand reputation index of 1,377,380. Compared to the brand reputation index of 4,980,992 in August, it fell by 72.35%., with the following indexes:
- Participation Index: 135,434
- Media Index: 222,908
- Communication Index: 582,125
- Community Index: 436,913
