On September 15, the Korean Business Research Institute announced the latest top 50 Kpop girl group brand reputation rankings for September 2024, featuring popular Kpop female idol groups. Find the complete list below and see where your favorites rank!
September 2024: Top 50 Kpop Girl Group Brand Reputation Rankings
The Korean Business Research Institute analyzed 50,882,200 brand big data of Kpop female idol groups collected from August 15 to September 15, 2024. This analysis measured brand reputation indexes for Kpop female groups based on participation, media, communication, and community indexes. Compared to August’s 50,762,506 brand big data, the number shows a 0.24% increase.
As a result, aespa, IVE, LE SSERAFIM, (G)I-DLE, and Red Velvet secured the top five list of female group brand reputation rankings for September 2024. Here are the top 20 Kpop female idol groups in July, August, and September 2024.
TOP 5
1. aespa
The quartet, aespa, recently made history as the first Kpop girl group to win a Daesang at the 2024 The Fact Music Awards. They maintained their No. 1 ranking for the third consecutive month in September with a brand reputation index of 5,062,660. Despite holding the top spot, the group’s index decreased by 3.53% compared to August’s brand big data of 5,248,038, with indexes as follows:
- Participation Index: 124,100
- Media Index: 455,136
- Communication Index: 2,394,573
- Community Index: 2,088,851
The Institute conducted a more comprehensive analysis of the group, including link, keyword, and positive-negative ratio analyses. In the link analysis, the Institute found “record,” “appear,” and “perform” emerged as the most related terms. Moreover, in the keyword analysis, the Institute identified “Supernova,” “metal taste,” and “My” as the most popular keywords. In addition, aespa brand achieved a positive ratio of 93.04% in the positive-negative ratio analysis.
2. IVE
Kpop female idol group IVE, which successfully captivated audiences at the 2024 Lollapalooza, remained in the second position with a brand reputation index of 3,608,799. It shows a 14.94% increase compared to their brand reputation index of 3,139,779 in August. The breakdown is as follows:
- Participation Index: 210,868
- Media Index: 681,448
- Communication Index: 1,033,185
- Community Index: 1,683,298
3. LE SSERAFIM
Kpop girl group LE SSERAFIM, who recently took home the “Best Push Performance of the Year” award at the 2024 MTV Video Music Awards (VMAs) for their lead single “Easy,” rose to the third position. The quintetgroup’s brand reputation index rose by 33.37%, from 2,674,837 in August to 3,567,430 in September. The breakdown of their index is as follows:
- Participation Index: 155,108
- Media Index: 471,909
- Communication Index: 1,370,107
- Community Index: 1,570,307
4. (G)I-DLE
Kpop girl group (G)I-DLE, currently on their 2024 “i-DOL” World Tour, entered the top five, securing the fourth position with a brand reputation index of 2,779,077. Compared to their August brand reputation index of 1,781,029, it shows a 56.04% increase. The breakdown of their index is as follows:
- Participation Index: 71,128
- Media Index: 202,824
- Communication Index: 1,287,740
- Community Index: 1,217,385
5. Red Velvet
Kpop girl group Red Velvet, whose comeback album “Cosmic” remained at No. 10 on BillboBillboard’s Albums chart for its second week, dropped to fifth in brand reputation rankings. The group’s reputation index experienced a decrease of 9.53%, from 3,042,262 in August to 2,752,242 in September. The breakdown of their index is as follows:

- Media Index: 740,386
- Communication Index: 963,587
- Community Index: 1,002,913
