On August 23, the sweet and gorgeous Kpop girl group TWICE announced the release date for their English single, “The Feels”, and here are some important notes.
1. “The Feels” is TWICE First-Ever English Song
The sensational Kpop girl group, TWICE, debuted on October 20, 2015, with the name picked up by Park Jin Young himself. According to Park Jin Young, he named the group TWICE with a meaning that the group will give you an act of double impact: through the eyes, then through your ears.
Since the debut in 2015, TWICE has amazed their fans, ONCE, and general audience with stunning performances, including One More Time, Dance the Night Away, What is Love, and their most recent EP and mini-album, “Alcohol Free” and “Taste of Love”.
Therefore, today TWICE will up their level and challenges to the international level with their first-ever English single entitled “The Feels”.
2. TWICE “The Feels” Raises a Theme of “Prom”
TWICE is prominently known as the nation’s girl group due to their popularity and success during the first two years of their career. Their iconic concepts are cheerful tunes and colorful styles reflected in the discography and members’ fashion. Today TWICE continues acing such concept with even more unique characteristics in their 1st English single, “The Feels”.
Previously, the nine-member ensemble released teasing images of “The Feels” in the form of an invitation. Then, TWICE revealed the theme for “The Feels” 1st English single would be “Prom”.
In addition to the teaser images, this Prom theme is clearly shown in the new teaser video, where TWICE members performed in what seemed to be a dressing room. Moreover, as Tzuyu is holding a hairdryer and some members sitting near cosmetics, it’s like they were preparing for an event, a Prom, maybe?
3. TWICE Will Likely Promote Without Jeongyeon
Unfortunately, TWICE had to deliver bad news in the midst of their 1st English single, “The Feels”, release date hype. One of their members, Jeongyeon, had to take a leave of absence due to a psychological health condition, and JYP has confirmed this news.
Therefore, it is highly likely that TWICE will be promoting their 1st English single, “The Feels”, without Jeongyeon.
Regarding this issue, TWICE Jeongyeon sent a message via Bubble, apologizing to ONCE. Besides, Jeongyeon also promised her fans that she would return soon and therefore asked her fans to wait for her.
