Kang Daniel and Chae Soo Bin Will Team Up in a New Korean Drama “Rookie Cops”
On December 21, Disney Plus Korea released the first poster and video trailer for the upcoming original Korean series entitled ‘Rookie Cops,’ which displays youth synergy starring Kang Daniel, Chae Soo Bin, and more young actors and actresses.
Earlier this year, Kang Daniel was reviewing the offer from Disney Plus Korea to star in a Korean police drama. As a result, Kang Daniel accepted the offer, and ‘Rookie Cops’ marks Kang Daniel’s first acting debut on the small screen and raises high expectations from Kdrama and Kpop fans.
‘Rookie Cops’ Director, Writer, and Cast
Director Kim Byung Soo, who directed “A Korean Odyssey” (2017) and ‘He is Psycometric’ (2019), leads the drama. Meanwhile, writer Lee Ha Na who worked on ‘The Time We Were Not in Love’ (2015), writes the script.
The upcoming Korean police students drama comes with a fresh synergy of lineup cast that consists of Kang Daniel, Chae Soo Bin, Min Do Hee, Park Yoo Na, Lee Shin Young, Park Sung Joon, Kim Woo Suk, and Chun In Seo.

“Rookie Cops” Synopsis and Teasers
The youth-comedy drama “Rookie Cops” follows the story of a group of youth who enrolled at the prestigious Korean National Police University. The storyline revolves around their dreams, ambitions, romance, and challenges in life.
Kang Daniel plays the role of Wi Seung Hyun, a police student who cannot stand injustice. He admires his father, who is the Gyeonggi Dongbu Police Agency commissioner.
Meanwhile, Chae Soo Bin plays a problematic police student named Go Eun Gang. Expectations are rising for the chemistry of Kang Daniel as a rookie actor and Chae Soo Bin, a young actor with many experiences.
In addition, Chae Soo Bin will mark a comeback in this drama after her last drama in 2020 with ‘A Piece of your Mind.’ Soon, she will also return on the big screen with her new action-adventure movie, ‘The Pirates 2: Goblin Flag’.
