TNX (The New Six), previously known PNation LOUD, is one of the most-anticipated Kpop boy groups in 2022. Being PSY’s first Kpop boy group, fans have high expectations towards their debut. Finally, on May 17, 2022, TNX released their debut EP, ‘Way Up,’ with the title track’ MOVE,’ and announced the group official fandom name.

The group official name is not started with the letter ‘P’
The group was previously known as PNATION LOUD because it was formed through the ‘LOUD’ survival show. However, they (and company officials) began to choose other official names.
Because the group is under PNation, and it’ll be PSY’s first Kpop boy group, everyone expected the group name to begin with the letter ‘P.’ Surprisingly, the six-piece group is beautifully named ‘The New Six’ or ‘TNX.’
“The other candidates for our group name mostly began with the letter’ P,’ as our company name is P Nation. ‘Pigeon’ and ‘Phoenix’ were among the candidates, so when I heard that ‘TNX’ would be our name, I was so grateful (to our company officials).”

Powerful Debut EP from TNX
Powerful energy dominates TNX debut EP with the title track ‘MOVE’ and other addictive tracks, like ‘WE ON,’ ‘180sec,’ ‘Burst Up,’ and ‘Your Favorite Melody.’
“Through our first EP, we want to reveal our determination that we are willing to showcase fresh and diverse music to people. The mini-album is also brimming with our powerful energy and overflowing talent.”

TNX make their own way up with ‘MOVE’
TNX debut EP ‘Way Up’ is fronted by the lead single ‘MOVE.’ With hip beats and a touch of orchestral instrumentation, TNX creates order and chaos in a strange sci-fi world. The ‘MOVE’ MV had more than 1 million views in less than 24 hours.
Furthermore, the lyrics of their debut single remind us to rely on ourselves and make our own way through obstacles on our way up.
“In the case of our music video, we attempted to visualize our courage and spirit of challenge by fighting against masked forces that symbolize absurdities.”

Special track by Hwi
TNX member, Hwi, participated in the creative process of two tracks, ‘WE ON’ and ‘Your Favorite Melody’ (also known as ‘A Little Song’).
Apparently, Hwi wrote ‘A Little Song’ he joined LOUD without knowing it’d be released.
“It is a huge honor to include my self-written songs on our debut album. In the case of ‘A Little Song,’ I wrote it before appearing on ‘Loud,’ without knowing that it will make it on to my debut album. I wanted to send a message of hope to people through this piece.”

TNX Official Fandom Name and Its Meaning
Fans kept naming themselves before the debut of the group. Luckily, on May 17, TNX announced their official fandom name. PSY’s first Kpop boy group decided to call their loyal fans ‘THX,’ which stands for ‘Together with tnX.’
Besides, ‘THX’ is also a common abbreviation for ‘thanks.’ It explains that “THX is someone for whom TNX is always thankful and who will always be together with them.” Very thoughtful!
