The 61s Baeksang Arts Awards ceremony in 2025 took place at COEX D Hall in Gangnam, Seoul, on May 5. The prestigious event announced the winners from its previously released list of nominees, with Netflix’s hit K-series “When Life Gives You Tangerines” winning the most awards, followed by “Doubt” and “Jeongnyeon: The Star is Born.” So, who took home awards this year? This year, Netflix’s recent Korean drama series “When Life Gives You Tangerines” dominated the awards. Of its eight nominations, the series took home four awards, including Best Drama, Best Screenplay, Best Supporting Actor(Choi Da Hoon), and Best Supporting Actress (Yeom Hye Ran).
Meanwhile, the Korean dramas “Doubt” and “Jeongnyeon: The Star Is Born,” also claimed multiple top awards. “Doubt” secured two top awards, including Best Director (Song Yeon Hwa) and Best New Actress (Jang Ha Bin). Further, the historical series “Jeongnyeon: the Star is Born” also won two top awards, including Best Actress (Kim Tae Ri) and Best Technical Achievement.
In addition, the “Lovely Runner” couple, Byeon Woo Seok and Kim Hye Yoon, became this year’s most popular stars. Shin Dong Yup, Suzy, and Park Bo Gum hosted the prestigious 61st Baeksang Arts Awards 2025 ceremony.
