It has been a devastating month for AROHA since ASTRO Moonbin passed away approximately 3 weeks ago. The mourning period is now over, but nothing can replace and fill the empty space Moonbin left behind in the grieving hearts of his family, friends, and beloved AROHA fans.
What’s worse, even after days and weeks have passed since ASTRO Moonbin passed away, there has been no clear explanations regarding his death cause and reason. And therefore, fans began restless and finally took action.
Sports Chosun reported on May 10 that fans of ASTRO Moonbin demanded a thorough explanation from the agency Fantagio regarding the idol’s cause of death and reason. The demand started emerging on May 9, and fans would not hesitate to boycott Fantagio if they maintained their apathetic ignorance.
ASTRO Moonbin Had Been in Poor Health Condition: A Suspicion of His Death Cause and Reason
So, what happened to ASTRO Moonbin fans, and why did they boycott Fantagio?
It all started with suspicion against Fantagio for ignoring Moonbin’s deteriorating health conditions. Before Moonbin passed away on April 19, there had been obvious signs that the ASTRO vocalist had been enduring health problems. And that is why fans began wondering if his poor health was the real cause and reason for ASTRO Moonbin death.
The most recent sign of Moonbin’s poor health condition was on April 7. At the time, Moonbin was supposed to leave for Bangkok, Thailand, for a Fan Con. However, Fantagio announced that Moonbin experienced some health problems. Therefore, they decided to postpone his departure.
This situation caused Moonbin to feel extremely guilty toward his fans. That is why during his live streaming with Sanha, he repeatedly apologized to his fans.
Even after Sanha comforted him, Moonbin continued feeling guilty for not being able to perform at maximum capacity. Therefore, he promised AROHA that he would get better and made them happy. Further in the report, Sports Chosun stated that fans began paying attention to the possible death cause and reason of ASTRO Moonbin death. According to the report, fans started realizing that the main issue lay in the training system within ASTRO’s agency, Fantagio.
ASTRO Moonbin is the second Fantagio’s artist who passed away suddenly and tragically.
Previously, Fantagio had also lost one of its brilliant actors after Cha In Ha found dead at his home on December 3, 2019. At the time, Fantagio also didn’t provide enough explanation as to why Cha In Ha had died. Similar to ASTRO Moonbin’s case, Fantagio simply asked the public to refrain from spreading speculative reports.
