Making a comeback from their summer single, ‘Patbingsu,’ Kpop girl group Billlie keeps gaining attention and popularity with their third mini album released on August 31. Featuring ‘Ring ma Bell (what a wonderful world)’ as the title track of ‘the Billage of perception: chapter two’ album, Billlie sold 43,823 copies on its first day.

Billie returned with more enigmatic lyrics and complex melodies. ‘the Billage of perception: chapter two’ is the continuation of the story of Billlie Love. Additionally, this third album seems to be about maturing with a more unfathomable tracklist.Kpop

Kpop Girl group Billlie breaks their own record held by ‘track by YOON: Patbingsu’, which had around 34,000 first-day album sales.

Title Track – Ring ma Bell (what a wonderful world)

The title track of Billlie’s third mini album, Ring ma Bell (what a wonderful world),’ is an addictive song with a new and fresh feeling. Moon Sua, Suhyeon, Haram, Tsuki, Sheon, Siyoon, and Haruna nailed the hard rock music that made us want to jump to the rhythm.

The ‘Ring ma Bell (what a wonderful world) music video has an impeccably high-quality work. Billlie fuses Kpop and rock with perfect lighting, scenarios, and outfits. Their previous album’s title track music video, ‘Gingamingayo,’ has 28 million views six months after its release, but ‘Ring ma Bell’ hits 20 million views in less than four days.

‘My B = the Birth of Emotion’

From the beginning, ‘My B = the Birth of Emotion’ has the unique characteristic of Billlie. Moreover, the music starts so well and gets positively frantic during the pre-chorus and chorus parts. With a progressive synth-pop number that features the psychedelic synth phrase, ‘My B = the Birth of Emotion’ opens up the story of this album.

‘B’rave ~ a song for Matilda’

Billlie is known to have the ability to cover all genres of songs. They prove it by pulling a little old RnB touch for the B-side track ‘B’rave ~ a song for Matilda.’ Moon Sua, Suhyeon, Haram, Tsuki, Sheon, Siyoon, and Haruna showed off their supreme musical talents during their showcase performance.

‘$un Palace (Stroop Effect)’

Although the previous B-side tracks are incredible, my personal favorite is ‘$un Palace (Stroop Effect).’ This track is in the MOON Palace series from their second mini album, ‘the collective soul and unconscious: chapter one.’ In addition, with its addictive music, it has a mysterious power in the lyrics that gives the listeners the courage to keep walking towards whatever our goal is: : “I keep walking | with one’s back to the sun, I’m walking towards the moon | why am I? | I can’t get over it | Count the steps.”

‘McGuffins ~ who’s the Joker?’

With a pretty intriguing title, ‘McGuffins ~ who’s the Joker?’ has a very sexy Latin trap and a Chicano hip hop touch. When we first listen to this track, we might think it’d be a cute song. However, the dance-pop track has a surprising and exciting music change.

‘B@ck 2 Where We Belong.’

After the electrifying track ‘McGuffins ~ who’s the Joker,’ another B-side track of Billlie’s third mini album worth listening to is ‘B@ck 2 Where We Belong.’ Starting with a smooth vocal of Moon Sua, the track is one of the best modern rock ballads sung by Billlie. Here Billlie sends a message to Belllie’ve (Billlie fans) that being together always gives us courage and energy.
