BTS main dancer and ray of sunshine j-hope (Jung Hoseok) has announced his upcoming plans for mandatory military service. But before embarking on his military journey, BTS j-hope prepares a final farewell gift for his fans in the form of a solo single with the title: on the street.

Just when fans could finally move on from saying temporary goodbye to BTS’s eldest hyung Jin, and focuses on the upcoming BTS solo projects, j-hope came out with a shocking surprise.

Along with the previous military service announcement, BIGHIT MUSIC posted a notice on Weverse that BTS j-hope would be releasing a solo single: on the street.

BTS j-hope on the street solo single is said to be his final gift to fans ahead of his military enlistment. And it has brought fans in tears how much the charming dancer-rapper understands his fans’ sadness and grief for having to say a temporary farewell to him. 

Therefore, a few hours after his military service announcement, BTS j-hope gave a heartwarming final gift for his fans.

Further in the announcement, BIGHIT MUSIC revealed the story behind BTS j-hope on the street solo single. If the previous Jack in the Box was about j-hope’s dark and raw side, on the street is about embracing his origin.

According to BIGHIT MUSIC, on the street will focus more on street dance. It will be about stories of when j-hope first dreamed of becoming an artist. 

And if Jack in the Box was all about darkness and despair, on the street would reveal j-hope’s vision of the upcoming journey he will embark on with fans.

“j-hope wrote the track to share his honest feelings toward his fans. The title “on the street” was about j-hope’s roots—street dance—where his dream to become an artist began, as well as the path the artist and fans will continue to walk together.

We truly hope that j-hope’s “on the street” will serve as a meaningful gift to everyone who supports the artist. 

Please look forward to j-hope’s new song!”
