The Korean Business Research Institute has announced the latest brand reputation rankings for Kpop idol groups, with BTS, BLACKPINK, IVE, SEVENTEEN, and BIGBANG dominating the list. Discover the top 50 Kpop idol group brand reputation rankings for May 2025 below.
May 2025 Kpop Idol Group Brand Reputation Rankings: BTS Remains No.1
To determine the latest Kpop idol group brand reputation rankings for May 2025, the Korean Business Research Institute analyzed 78,857,284 idol group brand big data from March 15 to May 15, 2025. However, the number saw a 5.71% decrease from 83,634,817 idol group brand big data in April.
Based on the analysis results, Kpop groups BTS, BLACKPINK, IVE, SEVENTEEN, and BIGBANG secured their position in the top five list for May 2025.
BTS Leads Kpop Idol Group Rankings for Two Months Straight
Kpop group BTS, who will mark their 12th debut anniversary this June, topped the May brand reputation rankings for Kpop idol groups for two consecutive months. Even though most members are still serving in the military, the group’s name continues to resonate within the K-pop scene. This is because of their achievements, the solo activities of members Jin and J-Hope, and fans’ excitement for their reunion after military service.
In June, the remaining BTS members will finish their military service and return home to their fans, ARMY, once again in complete form. Jin and J-hope were already discharged last year. Soon, RM and V will complete their military service on June 10, Jungkook and Jimin on June 11, and Suga on June 21.
Before enlisting, the members worked on solo projects like albums, documentaries, and shows. Their works have helped fans feel better during their military service.
Jimin released a solo single, “Who,” during his military service, and it entered the Billboard “Hot 100” chart. The hit single remained there for 33 weeks, setting a record for the most extended stay by a Kpop artist. Moreover, RM’s music video for “Lost!” won awards at international competitions like Germany’s Ciclope Festival and the Shark Music Video Awards.
To celebrate their 12th anniversary, fans will welcome the members home and enjoy BTS Festa. Additionally, fans can look forward to the final concert of “Hope On The Stage,” an encore concert that will be held for two days.
According to reports HYBE shared, once all the members return, they will begin preparing for comeback activities, including performances. This excitement has built anticipation for the BTS members’ reunion this year.

TOP 5 Kpop Idol Groups
BTS, who is set for FESTA 2025, stayed at the top for the second month with a score of 6,686,614 in May. Even though they stayed number one, their score dropped slightly by 2.71% from April’s 6,873,091.
In link analysis, top terms for BTS included “sponsor,” “hold,” and “sold-out.” In keyword analysis, the most popular keywords were “Jin,” “ARMY,” and “J-Hope.” BTS also achieved a positive score of 91.87% in the positivity-negativity analysis, indicating a strong public interest in the group.
BLACKPINK jumped to second place with an impressive increase of 62.28%. Their score rose from 2,947,565 in April to 4,783,316 in May as they prepare for the “Deadline” Tour 2025-2026.
IVE, who is gearing up for KCON LA 2025 this August, stayed in the same spot for two months. Their score went up by 17.89%, from 3,937,842 in April to 4,652,151 in May.
SEVENTEEN, who just celebrated their 10th anniversary on May 26, dropped to fourth place in the month of May. Their brand reputation ranking decreased by 18.31%, falling from 5,276,745 in April to 4,310,647 in May.
BIGBANG rounded out the top five for May. Their score increased by 1.86%, rising from 3,142,530 in April to 3,200,984 in May.
