According to the French Institut national de l'audiovisuel, the definition of KPop does not merely refer to South Korean pop music, but more as a "fusion of synthesized music, sharp dance routines, and fashionable, colorful outfits.”

What is the KPop genre?

Kpop is ranged from pop, rock, R&B, hip hop, and electronic genres. However, KPop is influenced by styles and genres from around the world, like jazz, gospel, reggae, electronic dance, folk, country, experimental, rock, and classical.

Who is KPop Artist?

KPop artists are commonly referred to as KPop idols or KPop biases. KPop groups usually have a leader, who is often the oldest or most experienced among the members. Meanwhile, the youngest member is called maknae (Japanese: man’ne).

How to be KPop Artist?

Agencies in South Korea recruit (can be from an audition or scouted) and train talented young people. Once they become a trainee, they will live together in one house and spend many hours a day to learn music, rap, dance, foreign languages (mostly Mandarin, English, and Japanese), and other skills in preparation for their debut. Young trainees even still need to attend formal school at the same time.
