Kpop Group FIFTY FIFTY Rises from Controversy with New Members and Exceptional 2024 Album

Since the satisfying finale of the previous controversy and massive dispute, Kpop dark horse FIFTY FIFTY and its surviving member Keena have been through a lot, searching for new members to complete what’s been missing in the group. Today, FIFTY FIFTY finally managed to rise above all the horrible past issues with the release of its 2024 comeback album, “Love Tune,” featuring its new members.

Previously, FIFTY FIFTY has released its latest 2024 album featuring the new members formation titled “Love Tune.” This album features several impressive tracks, including its title song, “SOS.”

This latest 2024 release has successfully brought FIFTY FIFTY and the new members to completely overcome the previous controversy. In fact, the group has successfully created another phenomenal return and will possibly challenge the Billboard charts again with “Love Tune.”

How so? Because on an extremely rare occasion, FIFTY FIFTY new album, “Love Tune,” managed to secure another highest rating of 4.5 stars on South Korea’s most prominent music site, IZM. And this is the second rating with the highest score that the group has ever received after “Cupid.”

As a comparison, IZM recently released a 1-star lowest possible score for THE BLACK LABEL new girl group, MEOVV.

According to the prominent Korean music platform IZM, the public was ready to support FIFTY FIFTY’s comeback, even if the album fell short after their 1-year and 7-month hiatus. However, the group, now with a new 5-member lineup, exceeded all expectations with “Love Tune.”

IZM also highlighted FIFTY FIFTY and its impressively leveled-up harmony with Keena and the new members in this 2024 comeback. Unlike mediocre Kpop songs that are flashy, performance-focused, and sometimes full of controversy, FIFTY FIFTY returns to its original concept of easy-listening gems that we can hum and sing along effortlessly even at first encounter.

Not only that, but “Love Tune” also showcases FIFTY FIFTY’s improved vocal delivery and captivating performances. The song especially focused on the group’s signature sound of soft, natural melodies paired with solid vocal strength.

Eventually, IZM also highly praises the new chemistry between Keena and FIFTY FIFTY new members in this 2024 album.

“With excellent lyrical delivery, ‘SOS’ conveys Keena’s emotions, while the other tracks clearly communicate the members’ friendship, trust, affection, gratitude for patience, and the joy of their debut.

‘Love Tune’ is an album that captures the honest emotions they’ve felt and wanted to express during this time, all refined into pure and wholesome music. FIFTY FIFTY’s history, which has achieved such a great saga, must now be rewritten.”

From Kpop Controversy to Powerful Divas

Finally, rising from the previous controversy, FIFTY FIFTY has now showcased its impressive influence as one of the most powerful Kpop divas. Rising from past controversies, they’ve now proven themselves as one of the most powerful Kpop divas.

Their polished look, synchronized moves, and killer stage presence had fans and critics buzzing. It’s clear that despite the challenges, FIFTY FIFTY is stronger than ever, ready to make its mark on the Kpop scene and show everyone they’re here to stay as true powerhouses.

However, reports mentioned that with the stellar release of “Love Tune” new album 2024, FIFTY FIFTY and its new members have performed in almost all music shows, except SBS’ Inkigayo.

Korean media outlet Munhwa Ilbo reported that FIFTY FIFTY has completely refused to appear for the new 2024 album promotion on the channel. Why? Many interpreted this move as a boycott of the previous false report on SBS’s special episode of “Unanswered Questions.” That is especially worse when the channel never apologized, even after making such a fatal mistake.

Moreover, CEO Jeon Hong Joon of FIFTY FIFTY agency ATTRAKT revealed that the group would never appear on the show without an apology. The Inkigayo production team is reportedly in a difficult position as well. However, since FIFTY FIFTY has not officially requested to appear, it is challenging for the show to ask them to participate.

ATTRAKT CEO Jeon Hong Joon Official Statement

“Let me be clear. Even if entertainment and investigative programs are different, ‘Unanswered Questions’ made a grave mistake against both ATTRAKT and me personally.

Some people suggested we should still appear on Inkigayo for promotional purposes, but I don’t care. Sometimes, honor and pride are much more important than money.

They never contacted me. Some PDs I know indirectly reached out, saying they’d arrange a meeting, but I told them, ‘Don’t think about making an informal apology. Make it official so I can restore my pride. You can’t just brutally criticize me and expect me to accept it. I won’t.’ It’s unfair.

Just because they’re a powerful broadcaster doesn’t mean they can treat people however they want.

I even told my manager, ‘Don’t even bother delivering our CD to them.’

There are two kinds of deaths—one is physical, and the other is economic. The people who tried to push me to economic death… how could I appear there without a proper apology?”

Eventually, even after the previous controversy, FIFTY FIFTY has now skyrocketed with its impressive new album performance and heartwarming new members chemistry. The group has become one of the most powerful divas among the fierce competition in the new generation Kpop.
