Chae Soo Bin & Kim Young Kwang
Chae Soo Bin and Kim Young Kwang may lead in a new K-drama adaptation of the web novel, “Charge Me Up.” The story follows a man with an artificial heart battery and a woman with an electricity superpower. The talented director Park Soo Won will reportedly helm the series. Her popular works include “Work Later, Drink Now” Season 2 (2022), “Birthcare Center” (2020), and “Big Forest” (2019).
Go Youn Jung & Koo Kyo Hwan
“Moving” star Go Youn Jung and Koo Kyo Hwan of “Parasyte the Grey” are in discussion to lead in writer Park Hae Yeong’s new work. She is a brilliant writer who wrote scripts for popular Korean dramas. Her famous works include “Another Miss Oh” in 2016, “My Mister” in 2018, and “My Liberation Notes” in 2022. Her new work, “Everyone is Fighting Against Their Own Worthlessness” (literal translation), revolves around stories from the film industry.
Choo Young Woo and Shin Si Ah
Choo Young Woo and Shin Si Ah are positively reviewing the offers to lead in the Korean remake of the hit Japanese romance film, “Even If This Love Disappears from the World Tonight.” This film is an adaptation of Ichijo Misaki’s novel of the same name that follows a high school girl who is suffering from anterograde amnesia. Her condition makes her memory reset every time she sleeps, and a boy who lives a tedious life.
“The Trauma Code: Heroes on Call” actor Choo Young Woo received an offer to portray Kim Jae Won. He struggles with a congenital heart disease with the constant possibility of death. He lives a plain life without purpose until he meets Han Seo Yoon. Shin Si Ah, known for her role in the ongoing medical K-drama “Resident Playbook,” is considered for the role of Han Seo Yoon. Despite suffering from anterograde amnesia, she is a cheerful girl, radiating a positive aura.
Director Kim Hye Young will take the director chair for the film. Her famous works include the latest film “It’s Okay!” (2024) and hit dramas “Be Melodramatic” (2019), “Unicorn” (2022), and “Way Back Love” (2025).
Jung Eun Chae
Besides being in talks for a new legal K-drama, “Honor,” Jung Eun Chae is reviewing an offer to star in a new office comedy K-drama for JTBC. Titled “The Story of Manager Kim, Who Works for a Big Company in Seoul,” the drama is a live adaptation of a webtoon by Song Hui Gu. In this drama, the actress may team up with veteran actor Ryu Seung Ryong, who has confirmed earlier.
Ryu Seung Ryong will play Kim Nak Soo, a top salesman with 25 years of experience and an outstanding work-life balance. With his achievements, he consistently gets promotions at work and enjoys a comfortable life with his wife and son in a luxury apartment in Seoul. However, his excellence slowly fades. The drama will depict his journey of survival as he begins to lose his work-life balance.
Director Jo Hyun Tak, who created the hit Kdrama “SKY Castle,” will direct the series, while SLL and Varo Entertainment will work together to produce the series.
Im Soo Jung
Actress Im Soo Jung is considering leading a new thriller, “How to Be a Landlord in South Korea” (literal translation). If she accepts the offer, she will work with Ha Jung Woo as his wife. In addition, she may also work with Krystal, who is still reviewing the offer.
The drama follows a landlord who is facing financial problems. To protect his family and property due to mounting debts, he gets involved in a fake kidnapping. However, the plan gets out of control when the staged kidnapping turns into a real and dangerous situation.
Kwak Sun Young
“Crash” star Kwak Sun Young is reviewing the offer to star in a new Korean legal drama, “Honor” (literal title). The actress received an offer for the role of Hwang Hyun Jin. She is one of the three action-oriented lawyers at the L&J law firm. As previously reported, Lee Na Young and Jung Eun Chan are courted to star in the same project.
Shin Seung Ho
“Weak Hero Class 1” Shin Seun Ho is in talks to star in a new drama, “Insiders,” alongside top actor Song Kang Ho.
Set in the 1980s and 1990s, “Insiders” tells about the insider stories with Lee Gang Hui (Song Kang Ho) ’s character becomes a key player who directs and leads the ruling council of South Korea. Director Mo Wan Il, known for his works “The Frog” and “The World of the Married,” and writer Lee Ki Chul of “Alienoid” and “Escape from Mogadishu” are working together to create the series. Moreover, Hive Media Corp and Plus M take in charge in the drama’s production.
Lee Do Hyun
Lee Do Hyun may reunite with Go Min Si in a new drama by Hong Sisters. If the actor confirms, this will be his reunion with the writers Hong Jung Eun and Hong Mi Ran, following their collaboration in “Hotel De Luna,” while it will be his third reunion with Go Min Si after “Sweet Home” and “Youth of May.” Currently, there is no further information about the details of the drama.
