And yet, due to this boycott, the public is getting more restless and upset because there aren’t enough medical workers.
On April 4, the President and the Chairman of the Korean Intern Resident Association held a private meeting for the first time. However, they only found out they had different views and made no progress. Hence, it resulted in more backlash from the public. So they’ve stopped promoting “Wise Resident Life” because people are getting more upset about the doctors on strike.
“We’ve had to put all our promotion and marketing efforts on hold, including shooting photos and teaser videos on location. The hitch is that we can’t keep delaying our release forever because of our agreement with the streaming service.
Following the doctors’ strike, we’ve had to tweak some of the script and shoot two different versions. This has meant a lot of re-shooting for the actors and crew, which has been tough, but everyone’s pulling together and giving it their all. We’re hoping to wrap up filming by May.
