Instead of a single host, Boys Planet introduces a new moderation system, where a different ‘Star Master’ will be present to lead and guide the contestants for each mission. Every Star Master usually comes from experienced senior artists and entertainers in South Korea. The program invites them to share their knowledge, practice, and guidance with the young ducklings participating in the show.

On January 16, Mnet announced that Hwang Min Hyun would join Boys Planet 2023 as its first Star Master. As one of the most gifted all-rounder senior entertainers, the singer-actor has been famous for his tremendous talents in singing, acting, and performing.
