Kpop Girl Groups that Debuted and Disbanded in Less than One Year around 2012-2018
Debuted on June 20, 2016, under FNC China with the debut single “SHOW ME,” O21 gained recognition because one of the members (Weiyang) is a Filipino. But unfortunately, the girl group was only active for less than a year and got disbanded in 2017 due to the THAAD issue.

Jisoo, Hyeran, Songhee, Mika, and Jihee originally had a ‘KARA musical concept’ for their group. SWINCLE debuted on March 18, 2011, with “Shake Ur Body.” However, there was an issue about the group’s manager sending threats to the company’s CEO that probably led to the disbandment shortly after the debut.
8. Bob Girls
On June 10, 2014, Bob Girls debuted under Chrome Entertainment. They released two singles, “No Way” and “Oh My Boy,” before one of the members (Jina) departed due to encephalitis. Shortly after, the group terminated the contract and officially disbanded in early 2015.
Ye-A originally debuted under Kiroy Company and later under Shinhoo Entertainment. On July 18, 2014, the group debuted with their album “National Treasure.”
However, they have never released any more music after that. Hence, Ye-A became one of the Kpop girl groups that disbanded less than one year after debuting, although they never officially announced the disbandment.

14. Kitten Girls
One of the Kpop girl groups that faced disbandment in less than one year was Kitten Girls. Debuted on September 4, 2018, with “U ME US,” it seemed that they did pretty good. They released the debut single in different versions: Korean, Chinese, English, and Japanese. Unfortunately, in late 2018, they didn’t update their SNS and might have disbanded silently.
The name 1NB is an acronym for 1 New Best. The 5-member Kpop girl group made their debut under Trivus Entertainment on November 29, 2017. However, the group disbanded on April 27, 2018.
It is regrettable to see them disbanded in such a short period. On the other hand, though, they might have a brighter future after the group disbandment.
