The news of brilliant dancer vocalist ASTRO Moonbin’s death is devastating for AROHA, Kpop fans worldwide, as well as fellow Kpop stars. Out of respect for ASTRO Moonbin, the Korean entertainment industry canceled or postponed their activities.
Kpop Stars Mourn ASTRO Moonbin’s Death
Most Kpop stars delayed their comebacks, including xikers, iKON, Xdinary Heroes, and The Wind. They wouldn’t do any promotions during the mourning period due to ASTRO Moonbin’s death. To show deep grievance, BTOB also halted the promotion of their upcoming comeback.
Meanwhile, IU rescheduled her interview for Dream to April 24. Kpop girl group LE SSERAFIM also canceled photoshoots for JTBC’s Knowing Bros. BTS Suga postponed his video fansign event, and BTS RM posted a black photo as the industry continues to mourn.
Additionally, music shows like Mnet’s M! Countdown and KBS2’s Music Bank decided to air in a calm manner with no SNS promotion. The performers would wear black outfits as a tribute to Moonbin.

Meanwhile, broadcasting network MBC informed fans about the cancelation of GOT7’s Youngjae radio show, Close Friend. In addition, the release of YOUNITE’s Ep 6 and ITZY’s IT’z Tour Book Ep 17 are postponed to April 27.
Not only that, ASTRO fellow member MJ took urgent leave from military. And Cha Eunwoo, who was in the US for Coachella, was flying back to Seoul to attend the final rites.
Moonbin’s sister, Moon Sua, also canceled and postponed upcoming activities with her group Billlie. It was reported that Moon Sua will be the chief mourner at the funeral.
