E-Daily reported on May 4 that Lee Seung Gi had comforted the children and delivered a heartwarming singing performance ahead of the South Korea National Children’s Day.
According to the report, Lee Seung Gi wanted the children to be happy on such an important day. Therefore, the singer-actor proposed the event in person to the hospital. He wanted to give these children joy and courage in fighting their illnesses. And he wished he could comfort the families who had to spend their time in the hospital as well.
A Simple Performance that Brings Happiness and Laughter on South Korea Children’s Day
On May 3 at 2 PM KST, Lee Seung Gi visited Seoul National University Children’s Hospital in Jongno District, Seoul. During his visit, Lee Seung Gi delivered a singing performance as a surprise present for the patients and their families in the hospital.
In addition, comedian Yang Se Hyung who previously co-starred in Master in the House with Lee Seung Gi was also seen joining the event. He served as the event’s MC, delivering laughter to over 250 people attending the performance.
Together with Yang Se Hyung, Lee Seung Gi provided warm smiles and comfort for the children and their families with his singing performance. He sang multiple pieces, including Don’t Worry, Mackerel, and Thank You, drawing joyful cheers from the audience.
Lee Seung Gi singing performance lasted about 1 hour and ended with joyful laughter from the patients, families, and even the hospital’s officials. The singer-actor then prepared simple gifts and food to deliver to the children and their families.
