Former child actor and Wanna One member Park Ji Hoon is steadily rising to the top names of young South Korean celebrities. Following his outstanding performance in Weak Hero Class 1, Park Ji Hoon will soon upgrade his acting skills by taking a much more challenging role in a new Korean drama adapted from the Bastard webtoon.

On January 16, multiple entertainment insiders and webtoon officials reported that singer-actor Park Ji Hoon would take on the leading character role of the new Korean drama, Bastard. The Korean drama is an adaptation of the famous Bastard webtoon that gained massive attention for its unique plot and storyline.

What is the Korean Drama About?

Adapted from the Bastard webtoon by Kim Carnby, the Park Ji Hoon new drama will depict the story of a psychopath’s son who finally decides to fight against his father. If he accepts the offer, Park Ji Hoon will take on the role of Seon Woo Jin, the main character of the new Bastard Korean drama.

If the story follows the original plot of Bastard webtoon, the new Korean drama will start with the unusual daily life of the psychopath’s son, Seon Woo Jin.

Seon Woo Jin is the son of a psychopathic father who’s been killing people all his life. Since he was a kid, Seon Woo Jin realized what his father had been doing. But despite knowing his father’s actions were immoral, Seon Woo Jin has no choice but to keep silent and cooperate, even assisting his father as a murder accomplice. After all, if he refused to cooperate, there was a chance that his father might kill him someday.

One day, a female student, Yoon Kyun, transferred to his school. Yoon Kyun witnessed Seon Woo Jin getting bullied at their school and decided to help him. But then, Seon Woo Jin’s father sees Yoon Kyun and gets enticed by the female student, so he wants her as his next victim.

For the first time in his life, Seon Woo Jin decided to go against his father and protect the new transfer student, Yoon Kyun.
