The 2^nd-highest rating Korean drama, Reborn Rich, will reportedly get a Season 2!

On June 1, Dealsite Korean media reported that Reborn Rich Korean drama had been preparing for the production of Season 2. However, instead of a sequel, the new season will take the viewers back to the past during the prime era of Sunyang’s chairman Jin Yang Cheol.

According to the report, the drama’s new season is still in early planning. However, insider information stated that the production team had invited the original novel writer to get involved in the preparation process. In addition, and most shockingly, apparently, they were planning to change the original screenwriter and director of the drama.

Nothing is Confirmed Yet!

On the other hand, the visual effects representative stated that the production team had confirmed nothing yet. And surprisingly, Dealsite then took down their original report about Reborn Rich Season 2 when the news circulated on the internet and social media.

Then, as a response to the now-deleted original report, Korean media Herald POP released exclusive coverage to replace the initial report.

In Herald POP’s exclusive report, the JTBC production team of Reborn Rich revealed they were only brainstorming different plans for the series’ additional season. However, today, the team has reached no definite conclusion or plan.

Regarding the report about the Korean drama’s prequel and Jin Yang Cheol’s era, the production team stated it was only a rough brainstorming idea. At the end of the day, they have decided not to proceed with the deliberations and details that the Korean media stated in the report.

REBORN RICH Korean Drama Season 2: When?

Ultimately, the production team has not confirmed anything about Reborn Rich and its future plans.

While it is definitive that the JTBC production team is currently working on possibilities of Reborn Rich Season 2, they do not know when it will happen.

Still, at the end of the day, fans are debating whether getting another season of the hit drama is truly necessary. After all, while the drama may have risen to #2 of the highest rating Korean drama in history, the audience still feels disappointed in how the story panned out during the later episodes.

Changing the screenwriter and director may be one of the ways to get the audience’s trust back, but it doesn’t guarantee that the upcoming season will not flop like how it was with the first season.
