Shin Se Kyung Joins Jo In Sung to Headline the New Korean Movie “Humint”
“Run On” star Shin Se-kyung has officially joined the main cast lineup of the upcoming Korean movie “Humint.” The film is led by top Korean actors, including Jo In Sung from “Moving,” Park Jung Min from “The 8 Show,” and Park Hae Joon from “The World of the Married.”
In response to the exciting news, Shin Se Kyung’s agency, The Present Company, confirmed the news and stated,
“Shin Se Kyung has confirmed her appearance in “Humint.” She will play the role of Chae Sun Hwa, an employee at a North Korean restaurant.”

The new Korean movie “Humint” is a thrilling spy action involving secret agents from North and South Korea. As they investigate criminal activities near the border of Vladivostok, they come into conflict.
The first main cast lineup for “Humint,” featuring Jo In Sung, Park Jung Min, Park Hae Joon, and Nana, was announced in June. This star-studded cast announcement sparked excitement and anticipation among movie enthusiasts.
Nana, known for her role in “Mask Girl,” was initially cast as Cha Seon Hwa. However, after much consideration, she ultimately decided to step down. Her representative explained, “She had to decline the role due to difficulties in adjusting her overseas schedule.”
Shin Se Kyung’s Grand Comeback to Big Screen
As a result of Nana’s departure from the movie “Humint,” the production team cast actress Shin Se Kyung to take over Nana’s role.
Shin Se Kyung debuted as a supporting cast member in the 2004 movie “My Little Bride.” She received her first leading role in the 2006 movie “Cinderella.” Since then, the actress has starred in various films and dramas.
Some of her famous works include “Rookie Historian Goo Hae Ryung,” “Run On,” “Arthdal Chronicles: The Sword of Aramun,” “Captivating the King,” “Soar into the Sun,” and “Tazza 2: The Hidden Card.”
In addition, the upcoming movie “Humint,” will mark her return to the big screen after 10 years since she starred in“Tazza 2: The Hidden Card” in 2014.
In the new movie, Shin Se Kyung is taking on a challenging role as Chae Sun Hwa, an agent who works in a North Korean restaurant in Vladivostok. Her exciting new role has raised expectations for what she will bring to the show.
In addition, this project will be Shin Se Kyung’s first collaboration with the renowned director Ryoo Seung Wan. He is known for his successful works such as “The Battleship Island,” “Escape from Mogadishu,” “Smugglers,” and “I, the Executioner.”
