The 14 years of waiting is finally over! SHINee Minho first solo album CHASE is officially released! Although the title track, “Chase” was digitally released on December 6, fans still wait for the music video release. And the wait is over. On December 12, Minho dropped a cinematic music video that we can’t turn away from.
Minho Releases First Solo Album after 14 Years
Fans have been patiently waiting for this solo album. In fact, 14 years after Minho’s debut in 2008, he officially released a solo album, CHASE.
For his first solo album, Minho is promoting through various content, including a live commentary video shared through YouTube and TikTok, an album unboxing video, a music video reaction video, and a behind-the-scenes video.

The title track, “Chase,” showcases Minho’s alluring vocals. The instruments of the neat piano loop, trap beats, and heavy bassline create a sensual yet moody atmosphere.
Moreover, Minho himself conceptualized the painful storyline of the music video. It tells about an endless nightmare after losing someone truly loved. The music video begins with Minho waking up besides his beloved woman, which becomes the introduction to the whole story. Long story short, the couple has an accident, where the woman severely injured and lost her life. Since then, Minho can’t let her go and keep chasing her in his dreams. It becomes his nightmare each night. And at the end he gets tired of it and shoot the reflection on the mirror, wishing to put an end to the nightmare.

Previously, SM Entertainment revealed that Minho first solo album, CHASE, will have colorful genres. Besides the sexy R&B title track, Minho also gives fans more choices to listen to.
Minho gives his soft r&b tone with “Runaway (featuring GEMINI).” Combining the R&B beat and traditional music instruments, “Runaway” is a must-listen track from Minho solo album. Meanwhile, we can’t ask for a more youthful tone and groove vibe from “Prove It.”
“Waterfall (featuring Lim Kim)” is a bit more alternative with awesome tunes by Cha Cha Malone. Next up, “Choice” gives nostalgic summery vibes, which makes us chill. And although we have heard “Heartbreak” quite a lot since last year, this track never bores us. It definitely brings out Minho’s mature side
