On December 17, the Korean Business Research Institute unveiled the current rankings for the most popular Kpop girl group members of the month. NewJeans Minji, NewJeans Hanni, Girls’ Generation Taeyeon, BLACKPINK Jisoo, and NewJeans Haerin emerged as the top five girl group members. Below are the top 50 individual Kpop girl group member brand reputation rankings for December 2023, featuring the most popular female idols.
December 2023 Top Kpop Girl Group Member Brand Reputation Rankings
The Korea Business Research Institute collected 102,449,313 pieces of brand big data from 655 girl group members from November 17 to December 17, 2023. The brand big data for girl group members increased by 13.76% in December, reaching a total of 102,449,313 compared to 90,057,684 in November.
They used the data to analyze the girl group members’ brand reputation by considering consumer participation, media coverage, communication, and community engagement factors. Furthermore, the Institute obtained the brand reputation index for individual girl group members and established the rankings.
Based on this analysis, NewJeans Minji, NewJeans Hanni, Girls’ Generation Taeyeon, BLACKPINK Jisoo, and NewJeans Haerin emerged as the top five female idols in the rankings for December 2023.
Top 5 Kpop Girl Group Members
1 New Jeans Minji
The oldest member of NewJeans, Minji, remained in the top position of Kpop girl group member brand rankings this month. The female idol’s brand reputation index rose 30.91%, from 3,662,286 in November to 4,794,152 in December. Based on the analysis, she gained:
- Participation Index: 995,162
- Media Index: 886,273
- Communication Index: 1,532,293
- Community Index: 1,380,424
In the link analysis, popular related terms for Minji included “pure,” “pretty,” and “refreshing.” Moreover, the Institute identified “Chanel,” “Billboard,” and “Bunnies” as high-ranking phrases in her keyword analysis. Additionally, she received a positive reaction score of 90.71 percent in the positivity-negativity analysis.
2. New Jeans Hanni
Hanni of NewJeans also maintained her second position this month. Her singer brand reputation index increased by 63.46%, from 2,507,384 in November to 4,098,518 in December. According to the analysis results, she achieved:
- Participation Index: 712,617
- Media Index: 626,563
- Communication Index: 1,500,592
- Community Index: 1,258,747
3. Girls’ Generation Taeyeon
Taeyeon from Girls’ Generation, who topped music charts worldwide with her latest release, “To. X,” ranked third this month. She achieved a brand reputation index of 3,951,474, which marks an 83.26% increase compared to the brand reputation index of 2,156,173 in November. The analysis reveals the following details:
- Participation Index: 851,283
- Media Index: 859,084
- Communication Index: 1,135,926
- Community Index: 1,105,182
4. BLACKPINK Jisoo
Jisoo from BLACKPINK, who was awarded Best Female Artist at MAMA 2023, moved up to the fourth position this month. The singer’s brand reputation index increased by 40.56%, from 2,304,661 in November to 3,239,536 in December. According to the comprehensive analysis, she achieved:

5. New Jeans Haerin
Haerin of NewJeans climbed to the fifth position in the female idol rankings this month. Her brand reputation index increased by 52.04%, rising from 2,073,795 in November to 3,152,964 in December. According to the analysis, she achieved the following:
