TOP 50 Individual Kpop Idol Brand Reputation Rankings in January 2024

On January 25, the Korean Business Research Institute released their latest rankings for popular Kpop idols brand reputation for January 2024. BLACKPINK’s Jennie, ASTRO’s Cha Eun Woo, Girls’ Generation’s Taeyeon, BLACKPINK’s Jisoo, and Wanna One’s Park Ji Hoon are topping the list.

January 2024 Top Individual Kpop Idol Brand Reputation Rankings

The Korean Business Research Institute analyzed the big data of 1,720 idols and extracted 69,871,562 individual brand data from December 25, 2023, to January 25, 2024. This analysis aimed to understand idols’ brand reputations. The data shows a 17.06% increase compared to the 59,686,378 idol brand data in December 2023.

To understand consumer behavior, the Institute considered various factors such as participation, media coverage, communication, and community engagement. Using these findings, they compiled the latest brand reputation rankings for individual Kpop idols of the month.

The analysis revealed that in January 2024, BLACKPINK’s Jennie, ASTRO’s Cha Eun Woo, Girls’ Generation’s Taeyeon, BLACKPINK’s Jisoo, and Wanna One’s Park Ji Hoon emerged as the top five most popular and influential idols. Their immense talent, captivating performances, and dedicated fan bases propelled them to the forefront of the industry.

1. BLACKPINK Jennie

Jennie from BLACKPINK, who recently established her own company, ODD ATTALIER, topped the list this month. Despite a slight decrease in her brand reputation index, she remains on top with impressive values across various indices:

• Media Index: 357,300
• Communication Index: 1,350,159
• Community Index: 1,783,844

Jennie’s brand reputation index for January decreased by 9.93% to 3,630,892 from December’s 4,031,041.

The link analysis of Blackpink’s Jenny’s brand showed high scores in “appearance,” “being alone,” and “being unrivaled.” Meanwhile, the keyword analysis revealed that “Ode Atelier,” “advertising model,” and “apartment 404” were the most popular keywords. Moreover, the idol achieved an impressive positive ratio of 91.20 percent in the positive-negative ratio analysis.

2. ASTRO Cha Eun Woo

Cha Eun Woo from Kpop boy group ASTRO, who recently announced his solo debut, rose to the second position this month. According to the analysis, the idol-actor achieved the following indices:

• Media Index: 810,495
• Communication Index: 672,481
• Community Index: 625,974

Cha Eun Woo’s brand reputation index in January was 2,844,700, a 4.11% decrease from the December index of 2,966,706.

3. Girls’ Generation Taeyeon

Taeyeon from Girl’s Generation, who won her 3rd trophy for the song “To. X” on Music Core, remained in third place. Taeyeon’s brand analysis reveals the following indices:

• Media Index: 333,901
• Communication Index: 1,004,844
• Community Index: 1,116,283

Her brand reputation index in January was 2,788,011, a 22.50% decrease from the December index of 3,597,268.

4. BLACKPINK Jisoo

Jisoo from BLACKPINK, who will be starring in a new Webtoon-based drama called “Omniscient Reader’s Viewpoint,” climbed to the fourth place. The idol-actress’ brand analysis reveals the following indices:

• Participation Index: 194,241
• Media Index: 393,576
• Communication Index: 979,473
• Community Index: 953,801

As a result, Jisoo’s brand reputation index increased by 1.45%, from 2,485,045 in December to 2,521,092 in January.

5. Wanna One’s Park Ji Hoon

Park Ji Hoon from Wanna One, who is currently active as an actor and starring in “Love Song For Illusion,” secured the fifth place on the list. Ji Hoon’s brand analysis reveals impressive rankings across various indices:

• Media Index: 561,034
• Communication Index: 643,000
• Community Index: 652,383

As a result, Park Ji Hoon’s brand reputation index achieved 2,082,919, a significant 662.82% increase from the December index of 273,054.
