SEVENTEEN #1 on the Top 50 Kpop Idol Group Brand Reputation Rankings for October 2024
Idol group brand reputation is a brand category analysis that determines the brand reputation ranking of the most popular boy and girl groups. The institute performs a consumer behavior analysis to obtain the group’s brand reputation indexes and establish the ranking accordingly. This analysis measures each idol group brand’s participation, media, communication, and community indexes.
To analyze the brand reputation rankings of Kpop idol groups in October, the Korean Business Research Institute extracted 98,076,115 pieces of big data on idol group brands from September 17 to October 17, 2024. Compared to 69,547,608 idol group brand big data in September, the number experienced a 41.02 percent increase.
Based on the analysis results, the top 5 idol groups for October 2024 are SEVENTEEN, aespa, LE SSERAFIM, IVE, and BLACKPINK. Compared to the brand reputation rankings of Kpop idol groups in August and September, here are the top 30 idol groups in October 2024:

1. SEVENTEEN
Kpop idol group SEVENTEEN, which recently released a new track titled “Eyes on You” and is currently in the middle of their “RIGHT HERE” world tour, claimed the #1 spot on the Kpop idol group rankings for October 2024. The male idol group achieved an impressive brand reputation increase of 56.35 percent, rising from 3,843,968 in September to 6,009,885 in October, with the following breakdown:
- Participation Index: 347,018
- Media Index: 772,307
- Communication Index: 1,953,954
- Community Index: 2,936,606
Furthermore, in the link analysis performed on the SEVENTEEN brand, the institute found “growing,” “challenging,” and “strong,” to be the most frequently associated terms with the idol group. In the keyword analysis, the words “Spielderfields,” “Carat,” and “Million Seller” were identified as the most popular keywords for the group. Finally, in the positive/negative ratio analysis, the group earned a positive ratio of 93.04 percent.
2. aespa
The female idol group aespa, which recently released a new track titled “Whiplash,” dropped to the second spot on the list with a brand reputation index of 4,151,318. Compared to the brand reputation index of 4,237,589 in September, it shows a decrease of 2.04 percent, with the following breakdown:

3. LE SSERAFIM

Kpop girl group LE SSERAFIM, who will perform at the 2024 MTV Europe Music Awards, climbed to the third position this month with a brand reputation index of 3,896,023. The group’s brand reputation index rose by 24.83 percent from 3,896,023 in September, with the following breakdown:

- Media Index: 295,721
- Communication Index: 1,526,771
- Community Index: 1,854,795
4. IVE
The female Kpop idol group IVE, which released the first live concert film, “IVE The First World Tour in Cinema,” on October 16, fell to the fourth position this month. The group’s brand reputation index decreased by 5.05 percent, dropping from 4,053,205 in September to 3,848,503 in October, with the following breakdown:
- Participation index: 248,332
- Media index: 356,598
- Communication index: 1,479,144
- Community index: 1,764,429
5. BLACKPINK
Kpop girl group BLACKPINK, whose members have made waves with their solo careers, soared to fifth place. Concluding the top five Kpop idol groups this month, BLACKPINK’s brand reputation index rose by 60.56 percent, increasing from 1,979,876 in September to 3,178,958 in October, with the following breakdown:
