On September 17, the Korean Business Research Institute released the newest list of the top 50 Kpop idol group brand reputation rankings, featuring female and male groups that made waves in September 2024. Let’s check out the complete list below!
September 2024: Top 50 Kpop Idol Group Brand Reputation Rankings
The Korean Business Research Institute extracted 69,547,608 idol group brand big data from August 17 to September 17, 2024, to analyze the Kpop idol group’s brand reputation big data. Compared to the 76,116,437 Kpop idol group brand big data in August, it experienced a decrease of 8.63 percent.
As a result, aespa, IVE, SEVENTEEN, LE SSERAFIM, and BTS secured their spots in the Kpop idol group brand reputation rankings in September 2024. Check out the top 30 Kpop idol groups in July, August, and September 2024.
TOP 5
1. aespa
The Kpop girl group aespa, the first Kpop girl group to win a Daesang at the 2024 The Fact Music Awards, topped the Kpop idol group brand reputation rankings for the third consecutive month. Despite maintaining their top spot, their brand reputation index saw a 17.12% decrease, declining from 5,112,782 in August to 4,237,589 in September 2024, with the following indexes:
- Participation Index: 177,870
- Media Index: 466,241
- Communication Index: 1,443,047
- Community Index: 2,150,432
The Institute conducted a more comprehensive analysis of the group’s brand, including link analysis, keyword analysis, and positive-negative analysis. In link analysis, the Institute found “prove,” “perform,” and “go wild” to be the most related terms associated with the group. Moreover, the Institute discovered “Supernova,” “Karina,” and “Sydney” to be the group’s most popular keywords. In addition, the group obtained a positive score of 92.98% in the positive-negative analysis.
2 IVE
Kpop girl group IVE, who has completed their first world tour, “SHOW WHAT I HAVE,” rose to the second position. The group’s brand reputation index increased by 6.45%, rising from 3,807,785 in August to 4,053,205 in September, with the following indexes:

- Communication Index: 1,084,265
- Community Index: 2,153,935
3 SEVENTEEN
Kpop boy group SEVENTEEN, the first Kpop act to perform at Lollapalooza Berlin, dropped to the third position this month. The boy group’s brand reputation index decreased by 2.15%, from 3,928,255 in August to 3,843,968 in September, with the following indexes:

- Media Index: 544,596
- Communication Index: 1,244,073
- Community Index: 1,732,095
4 LE SSERAFIM
The female idol group LE SSERAFIM, who recently won the “Best Push Performance of the Year” award and performed at the 2024 VMAs, soared to fourth position. The female Kpop idol group’s brand reputation index saw a 59.52% increase, rising from 1,956,491 in August to 3,121,001 in September, with the following indexes:

- Media Index: 422,649
- Communication Index: 910,875
- Community Index: 1,543,457
5 BTS
Kpop male group BTS, which continuously provides content such as BTS Jimin and Jungkook’s “Are You Sure?!” and BTS Jin’s multiple variety shows for fans, secured fifth place. The Kpop idol group achieved a brand reputation index of 2,940,740. Compared to the brand reputation index of 1,990,951 in August, it rose by 47.71%, with the following indexes:
