1. Travel Back to 2002

The concept of Analog Trip is flashback travel for TVXQ and Super Junior. They went back to 2002 when they were still trainees in SM Management. They are not allowed to bring personal gadgets. The series staff supplied them with old-fashioned mobile phones, MP3 players, a digital camera, backpacks, and a guitar.

2. First Episode: Bali, Indonesia

TVXQ and Super Junior Dream Trip Bali

The members of TVXQ and Super Junior thought their Korean travel documentary series would be β€œDream Trip in Bali”. They were so excited when they first landed in Bali, Indonesia. Surprisingly, the staff announced that they would only spend one night in Bali and will go to Yogyakarta as backpackers. They had no idea when they first heard the word β€œYogyakarta”.

3. First Korean travel documentary on YouTube Original Korea

Analog Trip was aired as YouTube Original and premiered in YouTube Premium. YouTube Original is a part of YouTube Premium. If we subscribe to YouTube Premium, there will be no ads, and we can watch the videos offline, and of course, we can watch videos on YouTube Original.

So far, there were five Korean series on YouTube Original Korea. They are Run, BIGBANG Scout!, BTS: Burn the Stage, Top Management, Jay Park Chosen1, and the latest one is Analog Trip.

4. Live Streaming as the 13th Episode

As Analog Trip is on YouTube Original Korea, we must subscribe to YouTube Premium to watch all full episodes at once. However, starting from January 2020, it is now also available on the SMTOWN official YouTube Channel. There is even a live streaming recording that we can watch, released on February 18, 2020.

5. They had a fan meeting, too!

As Korean pop idols, TVXQ and Super Junior have a huge number of fans in Indonesia, where they shot for Analog Trip. The information of the destinations was spread all around social media, even before TVXQ and Super Junior were there. Many fans were afraid to disturb them, though. Fortunately, TVXQ and Super Junior are such down-to-earth idols. They even had a mini fan meeting with their fans in Indonesia!

6. This is the first vacation for TVXQ and Super Junior since trainee

The Analog trip was special for TVXQ and Super Junior. It would be a sweet memory for them who hardly have a vacation by themselves as they have such a tight schedule as Korean pop idols. And, in fact, Analog Trip was their first vacation since they became trainees in SM Entertainment.

7. The members create self-production song and video

Analog Trip Memo

After each trip, all members should write a self-memo. This memo was about what they felt about the whole day trip. It would be the inspiration for them to create a song and music video at the end of the series.

8. The soundtrack making process by TVXQ and Super Junior is on episode 12

Max Changmin wrote the lyric of β€œCome a Little Closer”. After the lyric is done, Leeteuk, Peter Hyun, and JDUB composed the music. Super Junior members who joined Analog Trip then sing the soundtrack. It was released on December 27, 2019, on online music stores, streaming music services, and Super Junior YouTube channel.
