On May 10, SM Entertainment announced that aespa’s new single titled “Next Level” will be released on various music streaming services at 6 p.m. on May 17. “Next Level” is a hip-hop dance track with a groovy rap and a bouncy bassline. It also features aespa’s powerful voice as well as a variety of enchanting chord progressions.

Additionally, the lyrics describe an exciting storyline set in a fantasy universe. According to their piece, the group begins their journey in “KWANGYA” in search of “Black Mamba,” who wreaked havoc on the planet and prevented aespa from connecting to their virtual avatar “ae.”

In addition, to celebrate their upcoming comeback, aespa will host their first VLIVE broadcast, “Next Level of aespa,” on May 17 at 8 p.m. KST.

The broadcast will be themed as a “home party.” The members of aespa plan to debut the new song and host a variety of events and segments.
