Netflix Confirmed Main Cast of “The Glory” New Drama in Addition to Song Hye Kyo and Lee Do Hyun
After months and months of waiting for updates from Kim Eun Sook and Song Hye Kyo collaboration drama, Netflix finally announced the complete cast members of “The Glory”.
On July 22, Netflix officially posted the complete cast members of “The Glory”, new drama by Korea’s prominent writer Kim Eun Sook. Along with the previously confirmed cast, Song Hye Kyo and Lee Do Hyun, “The Glory” drama will also feature new and experienced cast members you will definitely not want to miss.
Kim Eun Sook’s Version of Heartbreaking Revenge Drama
Similar to Seo Yea Ji’s comeback drama, “Eve”, Kim Eun Sook’s new masterpiece will also revolve around a woman who’s spent most of her life plotting huge revenge against those who had shattered her life to pieces.
However, the huge difference is that while “Eve” fights take settings in corporate and top wealthy families in South Korea, “The Glory” takes more practical settings in daily school life.
In “The Glory”, the main character is a woman who became a victim of extreme school violence. The school violence broke her and destroyed her life. So she dedicates all her life to plotting meticulous revenge against those who have tortured her. Not only that, she also swore that only the perpetrators but also the bystanders would pay the price.
Years later, the main character returns. She embeds herself in the life of the family of those involved in her school violence. And of all things, she becomes the elementary homeroom teacher of the perpetrator’s child, full of hatred, to execute her revenge on the perpetrator and the family.

In her second time working together with writer Kim Eun Sook, Song Hye Kyo will transform herself into a woman full of hatred and malice. And knowing how experienced our timeless queen is, this role will definitely be a piece of cake for her.
Lee Do Hyun as Joo Yeo Jung
Young talented actor Lee Do Hyun will be the one accompanying Song Hye Kyo in her revenge journey as Moon Dong Eun in “The Glory” drama.
Lee Do Hyun will play Joo Yeo Jung, a person who seems cheerful and full of life on the outside. However, he hides a complicated secret behind his sweet and innocent smile.
Previously, Lee Do Hyun has shown a rich spectrum of characters and emotions in various projects, including “Melancholia”, “Youth of May”, and “18 Again”. It will be tremendously exciting how the young actor demonstrates his full ability to match the experienced Song Hye Kyo in “The Glory” later.
Lim Ji Yeon as Park Yeon Jin
Actress Lim Ji Yeon will once again continue her journey in OTP drama with Netflix “The Glory” Park Yeon Jin.
Park Yeon Jin is the cruel perpetrator who tortured Moon Dong Eun in the school violence. However, despite being a severe bully in the past, Park Yeon Jin continued growing up living the perfect life and building a perfect happy family. That is, of course, until her past finally catches up with her in the form of Moon Dong Eun herself.
Actress Lim Ji Yeon has previously demonstrated her excellent acting alongside Rain in “Welcome 2 Life”. As a way to get out of her domestic abuse, she approached Moon Dong Eun with a proposal. She then worked together with Moon Dong Eun on to execute the revenge.
Park Sung Hoon as Jeon Jae Joon
For every Korean drama, there is always that one chaebol who seems to have all the money in the world to play with. Here in “The Glory”, actor Park Sung Hoon will portray such character, Jeon Jae Joon.
Jeon Jae Joon is a spoiled kid who hides behind his family’s wealth. In his mind, his family’s money can take care of everything in the world.
During his school time, Jeon Jae Joon joined Park Yeon Jin in destroying Moon Dong Eun’s life. But then he continues living lavishly, doing everything he wants without regard for anyone else.
With his hidden acting potential, Park Sung Hoon will show you the worst and most annoying snob you can imagine.
Jung Sung Il as Ha Do Young
And last but not least, “Our Blues” actor Jung Sung Il will join the cast as Ha Do Young.
Ha Do Young is a CEO of a major construction company. He’s a seemingly perfect man who is “lucky” enough to marry Park Yeon Jin and build a happy family together with her. However, when Park Yeon Jin’s past finally emerges and she falls into Moon Dong Eun’s meticulous trap, Ha Do Young unexpectedly put his family’s happiness in jeopardy.
Jung Sung Il is an experienced actor with over 10 years of career in the Korean filming and stage theater industries. So he is definitely an excellent addition to the cast members of “The Glory”.
Netflix “The Glory” Drama: 8 Episodes of Song Hye Kyo, Lee Do Hyun, and Kim Eun Sook’s Intensity
Finally, unlike Kim Eun Sook’s previous works, Netflix “The Glory” drama will be only 8-episode long. So you can imagine all the rush of intensity from Kim Eun Sook’s storyline as well as Song Hye Kyo, Lee Do Hyun, and all the cast members’ powerful emotions.
