Although the previous director and main cast were unable to continue the project due to various reasons, “Arthdal Chronicles” managed to build a brand-new team for Season 2, consisting cast and crew equally prominent as its previous season.
As a result, the hype for the “Arthdal Chronicles” series remains strong enough to merit a mobile game adaptation.
Today, Studio Dragon and tvN finally released its first captivating trailer for “Arthdal Chronicles Season 2: The Sword of Aramoon,” revealing the new cast synergy and its release date.
The New Tale of Arthdal
On August 1, tvN posted the first legacy trailer of “Arthdal Chronicles 2: The Sword of Aramoon” on social media.
The trailer began by presenting the audience with the alluring Arthdal City, packed with buildings and residences. In the middle of the city stands the statue of Aramoon Haseulla, the great founder of the Arthdal League, riding the legendary horse, Khanmor.
As if breaking off its long-time shackles and seals, the sword on the statue emits mysterious light and dark smoke. And everything turns into ruin.
Faces of its main characters, Tagon (Jang Dong Gun), Eun Seom (Lee Joon Gi), Tanya (Shin Se Kyung), and Tae Al Ha (Kim Ok Bin), then appeared on the surface of the great sword. And as a mysterious character raises the blade towards the sky, lightning blasts through the dark night and flows into the sword.
“Who is the owner of the sword?
Who will succeed in dominating Arthdal?”
The questions appeared, triggering the audience’s curiosity about the new tale in the second part of the chronicles.

Finally, along with its captivating legacy trailer, “Arthdal Chronicles Season 2: The Sword of Aramoon” finally announces its official release date and broadcasting platform.
E-Daily reported on August 1 that the second season would broadcast with new title: “Arthdal Chronicles: The Sword of Aramoon”.
And most importantly, the “Arthdal Chronicles Season 2: The Sword of Aramoon” release date will be on September 9. The series will air as part of tvN’s Saturday – Sunday drama lineup after “The Uncanny Counter 2”.
