A new year is coming! On November 10, Big Hit made an exciting announcement about Big Hit 2021 New Year’s Eve Live Concert. They also have announced the final lineup, including special performances. Big Hit’s concert will also involve AI and hologram technology. Have you booked your seat?
When is New Year’s Eve Live?
The concert will take place on December 31, 2020 at 9.30 pm KST, for both online and offline concerts. For the offline venue, Big Hit ensures that it will be limited and spaced far apart according to government rules due to Covid19. However, in the case that the offline concert is being canceled, the concert will only be online, and refunds for the offline tickets will be made.
New Year’s Eve Live Lineup
Artists will be performing at the New Year’s Eve Live Concert are NU’EST, ENHYPEN, GFRIEND, and TXT. And for the final lineup are BTS, Lee Hyun, and BUMZU.
It has been announced on November 11 that SEVENTEEN is not going to take part in the concert. Pledis Entertainment revealed to Newsen, “SEVENTEEN will not be attending 2021 NEW YEAR’S EVE LIVE. There is an activity already scheduled [for that day]. It was not possible to adjust their schedule, so it was decided that they will not be attending.”
Special Performances
On December 8, Big Hit announced that Halsey, Lauv, and Steve Aoki are going to perform as well. We know that these three artists have collaborated with BTS before.
Tribute to Shin Hare Chul
Not only that, there will be a tribute stage to the late Shin Hae Chul. They have planned to bring the iconic singer-songwriter who inspired younger generations with his creativity and music back to the stage using AI (Artificial Intelligence) and hologram technology.
“We prepared a tribute stage to remember the late Shin Hae Chul, who rejected stereotyped thinking and didn’t hesitate to take challenges, in order to console everyone who was having a difficult and lethargic 2020. We have been preparing this for a long time to complete an unforgettable performance that connects time, space, and generation with music.”
