We are aware of the issue in How You Like That MV.
We Belive that it’s Offensive to usage of Lord Ganesha’s Idol and we will try to contact YG Entertainment regarding it pic.twitter.com/UB2IC35XjM

— Blackpink India ( 브링크) (@BLACKPINKIndia) June 26, 2020

In Blackpink’s How You Like That MV, Indian Kpop fans noticed there is Hindu Deity Ganesha on the ground. The Hindu Deity Ganesha statue is seen on the scene in 1.20 seconds, while Blackpink Lisa sitting on a throne and next to the Deity Ganesha statue.

Deity Ganesha is not only worshiped by Hindus in India. Deity Ganesha is worshiped by people who believe in Hinduism in other countries like Nepal, Sri Langka, Thailand, and many more. For the Hindus, Deity Ganesha statue is always set on a pedestal or in a higher place.

The use and placement of Deity Ganesha statue as a prop in Blackpink comeback single How You Like That MV is considered improper. This BLACKPINK controversy makes Hindus are disappointed and upset.

#MyCultureIsNotYourAesthetic #BlackPinkApologize As a Hindu we worship Lord Ganesha and we never put them on the floor and it’s not the prop to use in the MV’s ….We were no expecting this from you #blackpink pic.twitter.com/0IOCgOYLDE

Blinks YG and their supporters let me clarify you that this is just not a mistake it’s a cultural disrespect. What you’ve done is way more offensive even if you’re of any religion. For us Indians and I believe for many other countries LORD GANESHA is religious diety.#ygapologize pic.twitter.com/z2WJRyaF8E

Okay. As a Hindu I’m so do done with this? Why the hell is our religious believes and Ganesha being used as an aesthetic? This is disrespectful to a whole religion. How would you feel if we used your religion in disrespectful manner?#YGApologize #MyCultureIsNotYourAesthetic pic.twitter.com/suCgAw4y66

This is really offensive. They can’t use our God as a aesthetic. Lisa as Thai should know better than keeping Ganesha on the floor. And thank you to all the blinks who looked down upon our God. Are you all feeling satisfied huh? #Ganesha pic.twitter.com/3woqAQFpZ1
