BTS Jimin, King Choice’s ‘The King of Kpop’ for 2 Years in a Row

King Choice held a poll for ‘The King of Kpop’ hunting from October 16 to October 31. As a result, BTS Jimin topped the poll as the unbeatable ‘King of Kpop’ just like he did last year.

To keep the crown of ‘King of Kpop,’ Jimin has received enormous numbers of support and votes from his fans worldwide. He emerged as the winner of the King Choice poll with 12,568,794 upvotes. This number is more extensive than what he got last year on the same poll in August 2019, 1,275,292 votes.

Following #1 King of Kpop, BTS Jimin, we have BIGBANG G-Dragon at number 2 with 10,005,120 votes and BTS Jungkook at number 3 with 1,978,477 votes. Meanwhile at number 4 and 5 we have SHINee and SuperM member Taemin with 633,046 votes, and a wellknown singer and actor Yunho with 545,277 votes.

• Most Streamed – Baby Mochi is also successful with his solo songs. His self-composed song “Promise” has surpassed 250 million plays on SoundCloud and still counting more. Likewise, Jimin’s “Filter” has reached more than 96 million streams on Spotify, which topped in 110 regions and countries worldwide.

Good Causes Inspired by BTS and Jimin

Besides those titles, there are still several titles hold by Jimin, such as Media Darling, for his good deeds. BTS’s positive influence has established a fandom culture of sharing and supporting good causes and worthy organizations.

Previously, ARMY held several good causes to celebrate BTS Jimin’s birthday. One of them was held by the Indonesian ARMY for an environmental concern by planting mangroves.

Jimin’s National Honors

Furthermore, BTS Jimin is the youngest and the only idol who received 3 national honors. The honors are Order of Cultural Merit, Plaque of Appreciation from a Cultural Conservation Society for his Korean fan dance, and James A. Van Fleet Award from the Korea Society.
