BTS Jin (Kim Seokjin), known as Hyung Jin by other BTS members, was born on December 4, 1992. This year, the eldest member of the group celebrated his 30th birthday. Therefore, he becomes the first member of the group to enlist in the military.
After updating his fans with his soldier hairstyle on December 10, BTS Jin shared a message on Weverse saying, “Now, it’s curtain call time” on December 13 morning (KST).
It is the character Jhin’s line in the game Legend of League. The singer said he always wanted to say this when he left for military service.
On the same day, BTS Jin officially enlisted in the military at the recruit training battalion of the 5th Infantry Division in the eastern county of Yeonchecon, Gyeonggi Province. All the BTS members gathered to send him off positively and warmly as he started his duty for the country today.
They posted two new pictures of them in a warm togetherness on @BTS_twt with the caption, “Our big brother! Come back safely! I love you.”
BTS Members Give Support to Their Hyung Jin – Warmth
Starting today, the eldest member Kim Seokjin is officially enlisted as an active soldier in the South Korean army until June 2024.
After sent-off their hyung, RM posted the group pictures with the caption, “I Love You Our @Jin. See you soon!”.
Meanwhile, V posted a video of him and Jin with the caption “123 Let’s not get hurt” with Jin’s song “The Astronaut” music in the background.
Further, J-hope posted a picture of him and Jin with the caption “Love You, Bro!” in his story.
Not only a story post, but he also posted several pictures of him and his hyung Jin with a warm caption, “Let’s be healthy and happy, Bro! I love you! …”.
Additionally, BTS hairstylist Kim Seong Hyun also shared Jin’s video on his Instagram story when he cut Jin’s hair into a soldier-style haircut.

ARMY Supports BTS Jin Through SNS
Ahead of the member enlistment date, BIGHIT Music has released an official notice regarding BTS Jin’s military enlistment. They informed the fans that there would be no official event. Moreover, they also advised the fans not to visit the training camp in order to respect other new military enlisted members and their families.
However, according to Yonhap news, dozens of fans came to the site to see the star. Yet, there was no confusion due to the crowd of fans. BTS global fans gave their positive and warm support to BTS Jin for his duty in the military through SNS. Check out some of them below.
