Kpop Group and “Cupid” Singer FIFTY FIFTY Lost Their Lawsuit Against ATTRAKT

After an extensive and heartbreaking battle against the company, members of Kpop group and “Cupid” singer FIFTY FIFTY have reportedly faced a setback in their lawsuit.

Korean media outlet Star News reported that Seoul’s 50th Civil Division of the Central District Court dismissed FIFTY FIFTY’s request for contract suspension against their agency, ATTRAKT.

Previously, FIFTY FIFTY requested an injunction to suspend the exclusive contract with ATTRAKT. FIFTY FIFTY members claimed that ATTRAKT had damaged their reputation due to shady payments and attempts to enforce contract policy despite their health issues. In addition, Kpop group FIFTY FIFTY members insisted on terminating their contract with ATTRAKT, refusing to further participate in the lawsuit mediation.

However, the Seoul Court decided to deny the request of the Kpop “Cupid” singer FIFTY FIFTY. The court believed there was no urgent reason to issue such an injunction and temporary order. Therefore, the court ruled to disapprove the request from the Kpop group FIFTY FIFTY.

FIFTY FIFTY Members Refuses Disband: Will Pursue MORE Legal Actions

Following the court’s decision, the legal representative of FIFTY FIFTY members revealed that the Kpop group has decided to pursue more legal actions.

Lawyers of Kpop group FIFTY FIFTY revealed that the members would file an appeal against their dismissed request. Additionally, regardless of the denied injunction request, Kpop group and “Cupid” singer FIFTY FIFTY planned to continue their fight for the issues they claimed against ATTRAKT.

“We decided to file an immediate appeal against the dismissal of the injunction request for a suspension of the exclusive contract.

The court believes it was necessary to consider the original lawsuit, including unfair payment and other issues. Therefore, we will soon file an immediate appeal.”

The lawyers further clarified that having their injunction request dismissed does not mean that “Cupid” singer FIFTY FIFTY lost the lawsuit entirely. In fact, FIFTY FIFTY members revealed their wishes to begin the hearing of their primary lawsuit soon. That is especially when their reputation is at risk after the recent false facts controversy in SBS “Unanswered Questions”.

Still, FIFTY FIFTY members refuses to give up and disband. They will continue fighting the lawsuit battle and pursue more legal action.

ATTRAKT Faces Bight Future After Lawsuit with Members of Kpop Group and “Cupid” Singer FIFTY FIFTY

On the other hand, FIFTY FIFTY agency ATTRAKT managed to remain calm in facing the legal lawsuit with the “Cupid” Kpop singer.

ATTRAKT CEO Jeon Hong Joon revealed in a phone interview with Munhwa Ilbo that he had wished for the Kpop group members to return.

“I am sincerely grateful for all the support for me and the company. If everything goes well, I believe that I must contribute even the slightest support for those facing unfair treatment in the future.

But above everything, I still wish that FIFTY FIFTY members would return to ATTRAKT. This statement is my attempt to sound an alarm for those who intend to take over the group.”

Along with the interview, ATTRAKT CEO Jeon Hong Joong also declared his intention to process legal counter to the alleged force behind FIFTY FIFTY members lawsuit.

“There’s too much evidence of tampering. Therefore, we plan to file a criminal complaint against The Givers CEO Ahn Sung Il and Director Baek.”

Irreparable Damage VS Bright Future

Finally, due to the recent failed attempt, members of Kpop group and “Cupid” singer FIFTY FIFTY are subject to unbearable and irreparable damage.

Sports Kyunghyang reported that FIFTY FIFTY members would possibly face financial damage claims from their agency ATTRAKT. According to the report, ATTRAKT possessed the right to claim up to 51.1 billion KRW (approximately 38.8 million USD) of damage from the Kpop group members.

FIFTY FIFTY now faces these significant damage claims as well as a tarnished reputation in the global music industry.

In contrast, following the lawsuit update against FIFTY FIFTY members, ATTRAKT CEO Jeon Hong Joon will possibly face a bright future.

Wikitree reported that ATTRAKT had successfully landed an investment of 10 billion KRW (approximately 7.6 million USD). This investment came from a Singaporean global investment enterprise, Evergreen Group Holdings.

Along with Evergreen Group Holdings, ATTRAKT revealed to have received more investment from Hanse Industrial and Yes24, accumulating a total of 60 billion KRW additional capital (approximately 45.5 million USD).

With these investments, ATTRAKT is reportedly facing a financially bright future.
