Just when we thought that the “Squid Game” era was ending, the show rose even higher with yet another surprise! After their 2021 long-list of achievements: People’s Choice Awards, the first Korean drama at the Gotham Awards, and the ONLY overseas AFI Award winner, Netflix “Squid Game” is now on the road to success for the Golden Globe Awards 2022 with 3 nominations.

On December 13, Hollywood Foreign Press Association (HFPA) announced the complete nominations for the 2022 Golden Globe Awards. The HFPA president, Helen Hoehne, broadcasted the nominations announcement for the 2022 Golden Globe Awards in a live ceremony with the American rapper-songwriter Snoop Dogg.

Details for “Squid Game” 3 Nominations for the Golden Globes

Furthermore, during the announcement for the 2022 Golden Globe Awards nominations, the name Netflix “Squid Game” appeared THREE TIMES under different categories. Here are the nomination details.

Best Television Series – Drama

First and foremost, Netflix “Squid Game” received nominations for “Best Television Series – Drama” for highly successful TV series this year. Along with “Lupin”, “The Morning Show”, “Pose”, and “Succession”, Netflix “Squid Game” will have to overcome powerful competition to win the 2022 Golden Globe Awards.

This nomination is to appreciate his role as Oh Il Nam (Player 001) in Netflix “Squid Game”. Oh Yeong Su was nominated with Billy Crudup and Mark Duplass from “The Morning Show”, Kieran Culkin from “Succession”, and Brett Goldstein from “Ted Lasso”.
