Here Are 9 Things You Need to Know About V’s First Mixtape, KTH1

In the interview with Genius, V revealed that he wanted to release his first mixtape soon. Even before the release, excited ARMYs have already created V’s first mixtape title, KTH1. Entering 2021, ARMYs are still wondering when is KTH1 release date.

1. V’s mixtape title

There is no official announcement yet about the title. However, ARMYs have named V’s mixtape KTH1 after his real name Kim Taehyung.

2. Number of tracks

In “BE-hind Story,” V said that his mixtape would have 13 tracks. This means KTH1 will be the longest out of all BTS members’ previous mixtapes. Suga’s mixtapes, Agust D and D-2, each has 10 tracks. Meanwhile, RM’s mixtapes RM has 11 songs, and mono has 7. J-Hope’s mixtape Hope World has 7 tracks too.

3. KTH1 could have had 14 tracks

However, in a live broadcast, V said that the BE track Blue & Grey was originally intended for V’s mixtape. During In The Soop shooting, BTS members heard Blue & Grey and decided that the track would be great for BE.

Another fact is that Blue & Grey was originally in English, but V hurriedly changed the lyrics to Korean after getting suggestions from other members. Blue & Grey has been performed elegantly in MTV Unplugged.

4. KTH1 release date

In the interview with Genius, V said that he wanted to release his mixtape soon. “I wish my mixtape would come out soon,” he said.

5. Apple Music updates

Do you remember what happened before Suga’s second mixtape D-2 release? Apple Music updated Suga’s profile picture and uploaded the cover of the mixtape.

And for this time, Apple Music changed the profile picture of Jungkook playing the violin alongside V. Besides, Apple Music also updated Taehyung’s bio. From this event, ARMYs started speculating that a big chance for us to enjoy V’s first mixtape, KTH1 or Jungkook’s mixtape JJK1, or even a ‘Taekook subunit.’

6. V’s playlist on Spotify

Other than what happened on Apple Music, ARMY also noticed that Spotify created a playlist for V last September. They added V’s songs like Sweet Night from Itaewon Class OST and It’s Definitely You (feat. Jin).

7. Song teaser

Last July, V tweeted, “Today is a day that I miss ARMY so so so so much. Although it’s not complete, I thought I’d spoil a bit of the music I’m working on. Please wait a bit more as you listen to this snippet. #내일지울수도 (might delete tomorrow) #내마음이 (my heart) before my heart changes quickly..”

Although the original post has been deleted, fans reshared it on Twitter.

8. Another song teaser 😊

During In The Soop, V also revealed another song while driving with his fellows Jimin and J-Hope. Jimin was impressed with V’s “idyllic” music and asked to write a song for him.

9. Behind the scenes

We all know that V is quite a perfectionist person. This is what he struggles with during making KTH1, especially the title track. He revealed, “The title track is the title track, but everyone also says to just leave it as it is, but I keep getting the urge to keep putting in more and more.” V really wants to give the very best to his fans with his first mixtape.
