This year, IU is celebrating 12 years of her debut in the entertainment industry. Therefore, to mark IU “12th Anniversary of Debut,”KBS TV –You Hee Yeol’s Sketchbook will hold IU’s mini concert on the same day as her debut date.
Lee Ji-Eun or known as IU (taken from I and You), made a debut performance as a professional singer on September 18, 2008. She released Lost Child (미아) as her first single. Since then, with her pure talent in singing, her career rose. Further, she also spread her wings to acting.

A special broadcast of IU “12th Anniversary of Debut” will air on KBS TV – Yoo Hee Yeol’s Sketchbook (episode 509) on September 18 at 11:20 pm KST. Since IU will perform as the only guest, she will present various performances for around 100 minutes. For global fans, you can watch the show by streaming online on IU’s VLIVE Channel or KBS website.

Recorded Performance
Due to social distancing regulations, the program will broadcast IU’s earlier recorded performance on September 15. Moreover, the recording lasted for 14 hours from between 9 am to 11 pm KST with 13 songs. She sang 13 songs approximately 60 times (including dry rehearsals, technical rehearsals, the camera runs, and the final recordings).
During the recording, IU gave her best when she sang all the songs to the end each and every time. Thus, she gained respect from the staff; even some showed tears as they touched by her sincerity.
