BTS Jimin has recently encountered an issue regarding the seizure of his luxury apartment house amid the news of “Our Blues” OST breaking record. So what REALLY happened, and what was the big issue? Check out the following complete explanation.
BTS Jimin Luxury Apartment House Goes Through Seizure Issue Amid “Our Blues” OST Breaking Record
In the midst of his busy schedule for “Permission to Dance on Stage” in Las Vegas and “Our Blues” collaboration OST with Ha Sung Woon, BTS main vocalist Park Jimin has to pause for a while to take care of the seizure issue surrounding his luxury apartment house.
On April 24, Korean media reported that the South Korea National Health Insurance service had temporarily seized BTS Jimin’s apartment. This seizure issue for BTS Park Jimin luxury apartment house occurred on January 25.
Located at the Nine One Hannam housing complex, BTS Jimin apartment house was one of the most luxurious and expensive housing in the Korean peninsula. BTS Park Jimin bought this apartment in May last year with a value of 5.9 billion won (approximately 4.7 million USD).
The Reason Behind BTS Jimin Luxury Apartment Seizure Issue
According to the reports, the National Health Insurance service didn’t have a choice but to seize Jimin’s apartment temporarily. That is because the institution claimed that BTS Jimin had failed to pay the premiums for his health insurance.
Furthermore, Korean media reported that the National Health Insurance had sent four separate notices of seizure in total. And they had sent them via registered mail during the time the apartment was under confiscation.
However, there was no follow-up action from BTS Jimin and his company. And that was why they had to continue the seizure of BTS Jimin luxury apartment house.
What REALLY Happened? – Here’s the COMPLETE Explanation
Immediately after reports of the seizure issue of BTS Jimin apartment house circulated on the internet and social media, BIGHIT and HYBE released an official explanation. According to BIGHIT, the reason behind the BTS Jimin apartment house seizure issue was purely the error of the company.
As a global megastar, every mail registered to BTS members will end up at the company. BIGHIT would be the first to receive all mail addressed to their artists. During the process of carrying the mails to Jimin, some of them had apparently been lost in the process.
Along with the company’s error, BTS Park Jimin had also spent most of his activities overseas starting from the end of last year. Therefore, according to the explanation, it took some time until BTS Jimin was fully aware of his apartment house seizure issue.
And once Jimin found out about the delayed premiums, he immediately took care of the problem and paid in full, including all the added costs.
Hence, on April 22, the seizure of BTS Jimin apartment house was lifted, and the issue was closed.
